"Vulpix, Ember!" I called out to the fox Pokémon. A burst of fire emerged from its mouth, as the attack hit the wild Bellsprout, easily defeating it. Vulpix had been learning quickly. And training on Route 24 helped us out heaps. It was the toughest route we'd been on, and so Eevee and Vulpix took turns battling each new wild Pokémon that appeared. For about two hours the Pokémon trained, even without my orders, and after those two hours, we headed back to Cerulean City. Later that night, while my Pokémon rested in the Pokémon Center, I went for a walk to clear my mind. I was still in shock over the near death experience I had two days ago. And still sad about what Misty said. I sighed. I didn't even really want to battle Misty, but it's the only way I could get to Pokémon League. Why was it that I was so let down by it. I should've expected it. Maybe I was hoping for too much. I was so upset about it. I ran to Cerulean Cape to let my anger out, and my emotions free. Tears were streaming down my face, I ran against the wind. My face turned cold with the wind hitting my tears, but I didn't care. I ran and I ran as fast as my feet could go, and finally got to the Cape. I let myself catch my breath. I finally "calmed down" and sat on the grass. I fell back and thought about the entire scenario again. "I tried confessing to someone and it didn't work out" That was the reason. I didn't really understand what happened, but I guess it was understandable. Still, I was in a fight with my emotions, I got up, and waved my arms, screaming in a fit of anger. I know that wasn't gonna do anything, but I had to let my anger out. I eventually got exhausted, and dizzy. I fell, but I didn't fall onto the grass. I felt something soft. Skin. I immediately got up and a saw a  girl smiling at me. She had long brown hair, a turquoise blue dress, and a white hat. "LEAF!?" I said jumping back. "What are you doing here?" I asked her. "I live here." Her soft voice told me, pointing towards a small brick cottage. "It used to be owned by some Bill guy, but I bought the house. What are you doing here?" Leaf asked. "W-well, *ahem* I came here to uh clear my mind of something bothering me." I told her. (Damn she looked amazing). "Oho, Cody? Clearing his mind?" Leaf said amused. "That's new." she got up. "Come on inside, have a drink.! she said, inviting me in.

The inside of the cottage was pretty nice. It had a few decorations, and a bit of furniture, nothing too special. I noticed someone was sitting at the table. They had raven black hair, a red  cap, blue jacket, and a Pikachu beside them. "Ash Ketchum! My old friend! What's up buddy?" I said. "Ash? Where?" The person said. They sounded like a girl. They got up, and turned to me smiling, but saw I wasn't Ash and was disappointed. "Oh." she said. "Hehe, sorry. You look like my friend." I told her. Her eyes lit up. "Y-you're friends with Ash Ketchum? Can I meet him?" she said excitedly. I laughed. "He's in a different region, I haven't even seen him in years. Sorry kiddo." I said. "Oh. That's not fun Pikachu." the girl said disappointed. Her Pikachu's ears went down as if sharing it's Trainer's disappointment. "Sorry about Elliora." Leaf said to me. "She can be a bit crazy whenever, his, name is mentioned. I think she has a crush on him." She said. "Haha, that's ok. He's got someone already, so she's outta luck sadly for her." I replied. "Elliora?" Leaf said. The girl turned to us. "Yah?" she answered. "Don't be rude, say hi to our guest. This is Cody, a good friend of mine." Leat said, introducing me. "Oh, hi. I'm Elliora." she said, waving. And these are my Pokémon, Pikachu, Eevee, and Ponyta." The three Pokémon all said their own individual cries in response. I waved. "Me and Elliora met when wshe rescued that Eevee from Team Rocket. She became friends with it and me ever since." Leaf said. "Wow, Team Rocket's a big problem 'round these parts huh?" I said. "Yup, but me and Leaf take care of 'em!" Elliora said. "Elliora, shouldn't you be going home now? Your parents will be worried." Leaf told her. "AAAAHHHH! I TOTALLY FORGOT THE TIME! COME ON GANG! WE GOTTA GET HOME!" Elliora said, panicked. "Bye Leaf, uhhh, new guy, see ya!" she said as she and her Pokémon left. Leaf sighed. "She's seems interesting" I said. "Yep. That's one word for it. She's just young is all. She wants to beat the Pokémon League one day. And she has the potential, just not the maturity just yet." Leaf replied. "So, what was the fit about?" she asked, while heading to her fridge to get a drink. I sat down at the table. "A girl." I said. "Oh..." Leaf replied. "A girl, huh?" she said. "Yep." I sighed. "Who? May I ask." she said, walking back to the table with two sodas, handing me one. "Thanks" I said accepting the drink. "And, it was Misty." I answered. "I figured." she said. "Considering back then, that's all you'd talk about." "Yeah..." I took a sip of the drink and sighed. "Leaf, I'm sorry. I really am." she closed her eyes and smiled. "It's ok Cody." she said. "I'm over that now." "That's good." I said. I looked at the clock on her wall. "Hey Leaf, it's been fun talking, but I gotta go now." I said, getting up. "No, it's a long way back to Cerulean City Cody, just stay here." she suggested. "But my Pokémon are the Pokémon Center, I can't leave them." I told her. "You said they're at the Center right? They'll be fine." she argued. "You're gonna complain until I stay aren't you?" I said jokingly. She giggled. "Maybe." I sighed. "All right. I'll stay" and so I did.

Later that night

"Umm, I'll sleep out here then." I said, pointing to the living room. "No, no come on, come with me." Leaf said. "B-but you've only got the one bed Leaf" I reminded her. "I know, and I want you with me." she said, smiling as usual. I sighed, and followed her to her one bed bedroom. "Wow, cool room Leaf" I said. "Mhmm!" she said. She guided me to her bed, and sat down. I just stood there. "C'mon, sit!" she said. I sat down next to her. "Go on, you can lay down." she said. I took off my shoes and hat, kept everything else on, and got under the sheet. "Gimme a minute, I'll be back." She said, heading downstairs. I wondered what she was doing, but didn't really bother paying attention. I was about to turn to face away from the door, when I heard Leaf walking back upstairs. She entered the room in a rather, uhh, attractive outfit. "Leaf? Why are you wearing, that ?" I asked. She walked over to the bed, and layed beside me, and whispered in my ear: "Because Misty doesn't know what she's missing out on" She then grabbed me, moved herself toward me, and kissed me. "L-leaf?" I stutterered. "shhh" she said to me, kissing me again.

The next day, I awoke in Leaf's bed, my chest bare, with Leaf's arms around me. I looked around to see our clothes were on the floor. I sighed. I got up, put my clothes back on and headed downstairs. A few minutes later, Leaf came downstairs wearing, only her underwear. I looked away, not to be rude. "Oh come on, you saw it all last night." She said. I laughed. A few hours later, it was time for me to leave, and get my Pokémon. "Bye Leaf. Thanks for everything." I said, hugging her. "No problem Cody." she said. "And if ever need help again, stop by!" I nodded, left the cottage and waved farewell. Along the way back to the Pokémon Center, I ran into Elliora. "Hey kid!" I said, passing her. "Hmm? Oh hi!" she said, waving to me. "Hey, listen, Make sure you stick to that dream of yours ok? If anybody can get to the League, it's you." I told her. "How do you know about THAT?" she asked. I laughed, "Leaf" I replied. "Oh, well thanks! I didn't expect someone to help me out like that. I'll stick to my dream, don't worry!" she said, "anyway, bye now!" she finished as she left for Leaf's house. "Bye!" I said, continuing on my way to the Center.

"Cody, where have you been!?" the Nurse asked me. "Hehe sorry, I was visiting a friend., and I-" I started. "Ahh, I don't want to know, just don't leave your Pokémon again." she warned me. "Of course, sorry." I replied. Eevee and Vulpix both came out to greet me. "Hi guys!" I said to them. "Hey, tomorrow, we're gonna get that Cascade Badge, OK?" I told them, confident we could do it. The two jumped about excitedly at that.

Author's Note: Wow, Leaf brought my spirit and determination back up. We're ready for you Misty! Anyways, first up: Congratulations to fellow writer and friend @justelliora on Twitter for winning the cameo competition. Go and congratulate her! Second, this Chapter contained what it did for two reasons: 1 to keep my older audience entertained, and 2 It's a reference to something that happened with me, not too long ago. Except, it wasn't as nice as I made out in the story, but we won't talk about. As always, thanks for reading, a ★ vote is greatly appreciated, but only if I deserve it! ^^ Love you guys, see you for chapter 11!
