chapter 21: defending friends

Ukitake POV

"Ready for a fight" the little girl next to our opponent yelled with a smirk on her face. 

"Ukitake I will take care of him" Shunsui said while pulling out his zanpakuto, while our enemy simply looked down at us with a blank expression. I nodded as Shunsui went off to attack him. Might as well relax and get my mind straightened out, I thought and sat myself on top of a building. The little girl came over to me, while glancing at the battle between Shunsui and her partner.

"are you not going to help him" she asked. I smiled and looked up at her while answering" Shunsui is quit capable to handle fight alone". 

"are you an idiot stark is pretty strong you know " she sighed at me. 

"alright since you are not gonna help your friend then what about us having a fight against each other" she said with a smile on her face. 

"I do not fight children and especially not little girls" I answered. 

"what, I am a hallow your idiot not a little girl" she snapped at me. 

Hana POV

"don't worry brother, ukitake, byakuya, renji, nemu, everyone I won't let that man hurt you" I mumbled to myself as I opened a gate to the world of the living in front of me. I had a hand on the sword strip to my side. Sweat was dripping from my hands and my legs were shaking as I jumped through the gate. 

Time Skip

Ukitake POV

Blood was dripping from my arms as stark shoot at us using his weapon. Aizen had gotten out of his trap and almost got Momo killed along with a lot of other people. Ichigo had going our battle and was destroying half the city because the fight between him and Aizen. 

I could not completely hear what Aizen was saying but suddenly all of the Hallow were crumbling away. My hand was pressing against the large flesh wound on my side.

My eyes were wide as Aizen was about to draw down his sword at Ichigo. A loud clash could be heard in every corner of the town. Dust was surrounding Ichigo and Aizen, but as the wind took the dust away, a third person could be seen. 

Hana POV

"my queen glad you could join the party" Aizen said with a smirk on his lips as I held back his blade using my own. My breath was heavy and a look at surprise was plastered onto Ichigos face. 

"Hana" a familiar voice said not far from us. I could Ukitake looking at me with Shunsui by his side. Both of them were seriously wounded and a sharp pain was in my heart as I saw the blood dripping from him.

"I see, so my queen have a sweat spot for another" Aizen said as his eyes followed mine. 

"Shut up your bastard, I am going to stop you from hurting anymore people" I said with moist in my eyes as I saw my friends all laying wounded across the battlefield. Seems like I am a bit to late, I thought while returning my attention towards Aizen. 

"don't worry my queen, when all of this is over you and I will rule this world" he said to me,while adding extra force on his blade making me jump back and disconnecting our zanpakutos. 

"I am sorry, but I don't feel like ruling the world with someone like you" I said back at him while sending him a glare. 

"really it seems like my queen has learned to glare at people now" he commented. 

"I won't let you hurt anymore people" I yelled at him as I attacked him again. My heart was pounding as we crossed swords over and over again. 

Time skip

"Arhhh" I cried out as my body was pushed into a wall and blood dripped out from the wounded in my side. 

"Hana are you alright" Ichigo yelled, while taking a quick glance in my direction. I tried to reassure him, but a pain cough came from my lungs and blood fell to the floor. My vision was blurry and I could hear Ukitake yelled my name as he came closer. Sorry Ukitake-sama and big brother I was not able to stop him. 

Ichigos POV

Aizen that bastard I am going to make sure you are death after this fight. 

"mymy if this keeps up, I will have to find a new queen" Aizen said as he forced me away from him with his hand. 

"I am sorry, my love, but I will have to leave you for now, but don't worry I will come back and get you later" Aizen said looking towards Hana as a gate opened behind him. I ran towards him with my sword, as he walked through the portal and vanished into thin air. 

"shit" I yelled out glaring at where the gate had opened. 

"Ichigo" my father yelled at me. I turned around and saw him looking at me, while tilting his head towards the spot Hana was laying. Ukitake held her in his arms and was trying to stop the bleeding from her wound. 

"we got to go after him" I said and my father gave me a nod. 

"I will open another gate" he said. 

"WAIT" a voice yelled out. My eyes landed on Hana, who was forcing herself to stand. Ukitake was trying to make her stop, but she pushed him aside. 

"Ichigo please come here" she said. I walked over to her beat up body. 

"Hana you should lay down, you are loosing to much blood" Ukitake pleaded, but she shook her head.

"I cant not until I have done this" she said and turned towards me. 

"Ichigo please give me your hands" she asked. I placed my hands onto of hers and looked at her in confusion. She started mumbling words in a soft tone and a sharp light came from her hands. A warm feeling came in my body and all my wounds vanished.

"what was that" I asked as the glowing light stopped. My body felt fine and all my strength had returned.

"That was the power of my zanpakuto" she said smiling. A looked of surprise came on Ukitake face as he heard does words coming from her. 

"please Ichigo stop Aizen, my zanpakuto has healed all your wounds and even given you new energy so you should be able to fight him" she explained. I placed a hand onto of her head as I said "thanks Hana, I owe you one". 

"come Ichigo we gotta go" my father yelled as a portal opened next to him.
