chapter 9: cherry blossom tree

Hana POV

The bruises on my wrist were scratching against the bandages that were filled with blood stains. Kenpachi had just finished a training lesson with me and the moon was the only light to guide my path through the Seireitei. I had been practicing with kenpachi for a month now. My body was now able to withstand his attacks without ending up destroy a wall or two. Kenny did his best to make sure that I could cover up the wounds I was given, so my brother would not see them. Though I had to lie to my brother when he found the bruises on my hand. I ended up telling him that I had fallen and he walked me all the way to Unohana place to get healed. 

I was on my way to the cherry blossom tree garden near squad 6. The trees were at full bloom and there was not a soul to be found. I placed myself underneath the tree that was in the center of the garden and took a mediation stand. Alright take a deep breath and listen, I thought. 

Byakuya POV

I was taking a break from the pile of paper work that had been place in my office early this evening. The cherry blossom were dancing in the wind and all the members of my squad were sound asleep in their rooms. My eyes fell on a girl sitting underneath a tree in the center of the garden. As I walked closer I saw it was Hana-chan. I wonder what she is doing outside on her own this late at night. My eyes fell on the bandages on her hands. That girl, what ever she is up to I am sure her brother would be angry if he saw the bandages covering her arms. Hey he even got jealous at me for teaching her how to read, when ever she came by my squad. He said it took up to much of his time and that he should be the one teaching her not me, but that did not stop her from coming by now and then. 

"Hana" I called out and she opened her crystal like eyes. She smiled at me as she said "hey captain Kuchiki, is  there anything I can do for you". 

"what are you doing out her on your own" I asked looking down at her. She turned to the ground and sighed while saying "I was hoping that if I meditated enough I would be able to summon my zanpakuto".  

Hana POV

Byakuya eyes were standing down at me as he heard my answer. He walked over to me and sat down next to me. I could hear his voice saying "do you want to become a soul reaper like your brother". I shook my head and answer "no not really, I just want to be able to protect the people I care about". I could feel the warmth of his hand through my hair as he gave me a soft smile. How come his touch makes me feel so safe and warm, I thought will glancing into his noble eyes. 

"If you wish, I could help you" he said and a smile spread across my lips as I heard does words. I took a hold of his hands and said "will you". He had a surprised look on his face as he looked down on our hands linked together. My face turned hot and I quickly released his hand. A coughing sound came from him as he said "alright lets begin". 

Aizen POV

"what is so interesting about a girl" I asked as I looked down at the old man. A smile formed on the mans lips as he answered "it is not entirely the girl that is interesting but what is trapped within her". The Espada started to take interesting in what the man was saying and grimmjow asked out "spit it out old man unless you want me to kill you, because you are being to slow". 

"the girl has a demon inside her, that is just as powerful as a god" the man said. A smile formed on my lips as I heard those words. A girl with a demon trapped inside her, that is surely to make a powerful weapon against the soul king. 

"why would you tell me this" I asked the man. The man had a smirk plastered on his face as he said "well you see, I trapped the demon inside the girl, but she managed to ran away from me and find her brother. That is why I have come to you, you see if I can power some of your Espada to capture the girl I will gladly assisted you in your quest to kill the soul king". 

"what makes you think Aizen will simply just help you" Gin asked while looking down at the man. The man was at a loose for words as Gin was looking directly at him. Noises started to fill up the room. I raised my hand and the room turned quiet. 

"alright, I will help get the girl, but you are to bring her to me the minute you catch her" I said. The man nodded and gave me a deep bow. 
"Stark, Yammy and grimmjow you guys will help capture this girl" I ordered. They all bowed down and said "understood Aizen". 

Time skip Hana POV

I was on my way to meet Ukitake and shunsui since they had invited me to play cards with them. Of course it would probably end up in Shunsui getting drunk, while Ukitake and I had to carry him home, but I did not mind. It was fun to talk with Ukitake and he would always bring some candy with him. I actually don't know why that is but he always seem to hand out candy to ever single person he would meet.
