Leo's bright smile lingered on me as he watched me swipe mascara on my eyelashes, picking up my eyeliner and inspecting it.
"How do you not poke you're eye out with this weapon?" He mused, pretending to apply the liquid to his eyelids.
A giggle escaped my lips as I plucked my makeup from his fingers. "You practice, and don't let your friend distract you," I grin, tossing my essentials into a bag before shoving it under the sink. "Remind me again why you're here?" I teased.
"We are having twenty four hours of Leo-Jordan time," Leo informs me, raking his fingers through his blonde curls.
"Are you saying that I'll also be sleeping with you?"
Leo snorts. "Sleep isn't an option with me," he stated, blue eyes twinkling mischievously.
"Great."
"Isn't it?" He throws an arm around me, excited. "Now go get dressed!" I'm ushered into my closet before the door bangs behind me, Leo singing loudly in my room.
I smile to myself, flinging on a pair of high waisted shorts, as well as a light pink tank top, sliding on black gladiator sandals.
When I step out of my closet, Leo gives me a once-over, his eyes alight with appreciation. "I forget how cute you are," he admits, and I roll my eyes.
"You forgot?"
My side is jabbed as Leo tickles me, making me jump away with a shriek.
"Maybe I don't forget, but you already have two men chasing you," he winks.
It's my turn to shove him as we trample downstairs; and Leo salutes at Luke. "See you in twenty-four hours, sir," he said.
Luke shot me a glance, obviously amused. "Are you sure you want to go with him?"
"Of course she is!" Leo cut in, giving me a cheesy grin. "I'm awesome!"
"You heard the guy," I gave Luke a hug before following Leo out to his Jeep.
"So what are we doing?"
Leo smirked, shaking his head. "The true question is, what aren't we doing?"
We pulled into a grocery store parking space, clambering out and entering the small store. Leo grabbed a basket, and together we walked down the aisles, Leo tossing in random items; a jar of maraschino cherries, pens, sparklers, movie candy.
"What do you want?" He asked, pausing to throw in a pack of Dr. Pepper, grimacing at the suddenly heavy basket.
"For what?" I prodded, but Leo just shrugged, plucking two coloring books from a stand.
"For whatever," he simply said. "Whatever. Anything, everything, whatever, just get something."
Hot sauce went into the basket. Whipped cream. Cheddar cheese. Chips. With a blink, our basket was overflowing with strange items, and we were ready to check out.
"We'll put this stuff in the motel before we head out to our other destinations," I'm told, and I raise an eyebrow.
"Motel?"
"Just trust me," Leo pats my head, flashing the cashier, who's glancing between us worriedly, a reassuring grin.
We arrive at a dingy motel, vacant and eerie.
"You didn't come here to kill me, right?" My voice is devoid of humor, Leo would be the perfect person to catch me off guard.
A wry smile meets my nervous one, and Leo shakes his head. "If I killed you, I wouldn't get twenty four hours of Jordan-Leo time, now would I?"
