After we finally make our way to the kitchen we are greeted with the savory smell of a roasted chicken. I smile knowing that they remembered that my favorite food is a whole chicken, with carrots, mashed potatoes, and gravy.
"Thank you, Julian. This all looks amazing." I tell him as he smiles brightly at me.
"Your welcome Honey. You need all the protein you can get to make your little chicken arms thicker. I feel like the chicken I cooked weighs more then you." I smirk at him before taking an open seat next to Timothy. He gives me a bright smile before placing more food on his plate, more food then I would eat in one day.
I put a small scoop of everything onto my plate, and when I am satisfied that I have enough for me to eat, I lift my fork and attempt to take a small bite of the potatoes. Only for my plate to be slid out from underneath my fork. I look up and see Sampson holding my plate as he adds another full scoop of everything, although it is less of what everyone else took, it looks like a mountain to me.
"I...I can't eat that much." I stutter after the plate was put down in its original spot. "I'll just be wasting it." I frown as I look down at my plate and back up at Sampson. He swallow the food he shoved into his mouth milliseconds before I asked my question.
"I don't care if it's wasted, I just want you to eat more then you have. Julian was right, you need to get bigger, you look like a twig. Eat as much as you can, and then I'm sure someone will finish what you didn't." He shrugs before shoveling anther forkful into his mouth. He smirked at me through his chewing before turning to Julian and rubbing his belly while making soothing noises.
I can't help but smile at the affection Sampson shows Julian. The big bad alpha has a heart, and all it took to warm it up was one little man with a fiery spirit. And of course the small pup currently nestled inside of Julian's body.
I frown as I put another forkful of peas in my mouth. Could I be pregnant? I don't think we used protection, and since we are mates I could have easily gotten pregnant. If Darren and I weren't mates, then I wouldn't have even thought of sleeping with him, Alpha or not, I wouldn't let him take advantage of me.
I let my left hand slide of the table and land on my flat stomach. In five months could I look like Julian and Callen look like? Will I have to be a single parent while the father runs amuk with a she-wolf he thought more capable of leading his pack then me? I don't want to know if I am pregnant, because then I will have a reminder my whole life about the one who was suppose to love me, left me. But then again, I have heard that a pup can be a life saver when you lose a mate, my case is just slightly twisted from theirs. They probably lost a mate in a Rouge attack or by hunters, mine cold-bloodedly left me in the dust for his lady friend.
I notice I have finished 3/4 of my plate. I am full, food wise and thought wise. If I really am pregnant, will I be able to care for myself? For the pup, or pups, I don't know. All I know is that my story with Darren hasn't ended, I feel like it has just began, and the thought alone scares me less then it should.
