Blaine and I arrived at the Lyceum Theatre in London three hours early because Blaine surprised me again by telling me that we were going to get a backstage tour of "The Lion King" and I was really excited about it. Then our tour guide came out and it was actress Alexia Khadime and my jaw just dropped. I love her. She's amazing.
"How are you guys?" Alexia asked us.
"We're good thank you. How are you?" Blaine said Blaine.
"I'm good thanks for asking," she said, "ready for the tour?"
"Ready," we both said
"Ok. Follow me." We followed her into the theatre and she started talking about everything about the show, the staff, the cast and the props. Then she showed us Pride Rock and it was HUGE. The size of it was like...WOW! It was HUGE. Then she introduced us to this guy named Bronson Jackson who played Adult Simba in the show.
"He's actually not from here," she said.
"That's right. I was actually born in Florida. I played Simba in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, USA National Tour and now I'm playing him again here in London," he said.
"Wow, that's awesome," I said.
"Thank you," he said. Then we took pictures, said goodbye and went back to the front of the theatre and walked in. When we got to the auditorium, we sat in our seats which was on the floor rows away from the orchestra pit. Then the lights went out and the show began.
(After the show):
We got back to our hotel room and Blaine was still in shock about the show. It completely took his breath away. It was that good. Actually, not good. It was AMAZING. Then we got ready for bed, said goodnight to each other, kissed and hugged each other and fell asleep. What a great night this was. 😊😊😊😊
