Chapter 30

- No! There's no way I'm gonna do that!

Maggie clearly did not want to do anything with German and after everything that happened it was understandable.

- Maggie... You need a doctor... And I'll be there too... Me and whoever you want to come with us - I told her, trying to relax her as much as possible.

- Angie, I don't know...

- Please... Trust me...

Maggie looked at me for a while then since she had no choice, or because she decided to trust me and agreed to be taken to Hilltop, where the doctor was.

We agreed to take Rick as help and German just rolled with everything since he didn't want to piss me off any more.

As we were on our way German glanced over to me a few times, but as soon as I looked at him he looked back to the road.

- I know what you're thinking - I said at some point - You think this is bad for you to do... That they won't fear you anymore. But they know you're doing this because of me...

- Have you told them about our relationship from before? - he asked.

- No, I didn't. All I told them is that you like me and that's why you decided to help Maggie... For my sake.

- Ah...

- And I didn't lie.

- No, you didn't - he said, smiling a bit.

Well... to them I didn't... But to you I just did.

Once we got to Hilltop everybody came to help Maggie to the doctor.

- You go too - said German silently - I'll wait outside.

I just nodded then I went in to join Maggie and Rick to see how things are going there.
