Chapter 31

German's POV:

I didn't go in.

I couldn't.

I decided to wait outside while walking up and down on the streets of Hilltop and it didn't take too long until I saw Angie running out of the house and literally jumping into my arms in happiness.

- Angie...?

- We saved it!

- What?

I was so confused at first.

- The baby's alive! - she said as she let go of me for a second before she hugged me again, now with me returning her hug - We did it!

- No... You did it - I whispered - You made me come and take her here...

- But without you it couldn't have happened and it'd have died... So thank you! - she said as she let go of me again, now looking at me with the happiest smile I've seen on her face.

The happiest I've seen in a long time.

And so was I.

Yeah, I should hide how happy I actually was from hearing the good news, but...

Actually maybe I could do that... But...

Ah, whatever... What's done is done and once everyone came back from the doc they got in the car and we headed back to take Rick and Maggie out.

Angie's POV:

I couldn't be happier after hearing the good news about Maggie and the baby that I couldn't even care German was playing the asshole Negan in front of people and I just hugged him.

He did not seem like to care about that and even during the ride back to Alexandria even he looked happy.

- Take care of yourself... - said Maggie when we were saying goodbyes.

Me and German had to head back.

Sadly.

- You too... And take care of the little one too - I smiled, completely forgetting why was she looking extremely sad at me - And I'll try to make sure to come around as much as I can!

- Really...?

- Yeah! Well... I will try...

She nodded.

-And Daryl?

- I... I am working on that too... Don't worry...
