❤ Chapter Two - Partners ❤
Deep breaths, deep breaths. Okay, Blake II was singing my song. The song that was inspired by my days with Blake I. And he was singing it to our music teacher right now.
What. The actual. Heck?!
I didn't realize that I was leaning too hard against the door until it was too late. The door pushed open, causing me to sprawl onto the floor of the music room. Blake II abruptly stopped playing, and and Mrs. Bloom both looked at me with wide eyes.
I quickly stood up, dusted myself off, and cleared my throat.
"I uh," I started. "Someone pushed me, sorry," I said as I went to my desk, picked up the notebook and rushed out the door without uttering another word.

"What?!" Katie practically screamed as I told her what happened.
"How many times do you want me to repeat what I said, Katie?" I snapped.
She sighed. "Sorry, sorry."
"That was so awkwarassing!" I exclaimed. Yup, I did just make up that word.
"Don't worry, P! Just pretend it didn't happen, they'll forget about it in no time!" she assured. I groaned.
"I just... I think I'm gonna go home now," I sighed as I got on my bike and pedaled home.
"I'll text you later!" Katie called out.
"Okay!" I replied. I got onto the road and stifled a scream. Okay, today was confusing and awkwarassing but I had to pretend like nothing happened. Because we all knew that I would only end up embarrassing myself more if I did anything else. Besides, I still needed to write that song for the talent contest I was hoping I could join.
I kept my eyes on the sidewalk, until something caught my eye.
Oh my gosh! That had to be the cutest kitty I'd ever seen in my entire-
HONK! HONK!
The red truck missed me by an inch. Eyes wide, my bike stopped to a screech. I panted heavily. I hadn't realized that I was actually already in the middle of the road instead of the in the safety of the sidewalk.
And I almost got hit by a car.
The driver got out angrily. He circled the front of the car until he was right in front of me. And to my surprise, the driver was non-other than Blake II.
"What's wrong with you?!" he asked. I couldn't respond.
"You almost got yourself killed!" he exclaimed.
Yeah, no kidding! I thought sarcastically.
"Yes, I know that. Now that that's over, I really need to get home now, so excuse me," I moved my bike and pedaled on the sidewalk rather slowly.
In just a matter of seconds, the red Chevy truck appeared right beside me. But I paid no attention to it.
"Sorry," the driver spoke. Okay, now this caught my attention.
"What?"
Blake II smiled a little. "At least let me give you a ride," he said.
I pondered that. First of all, he was practically a stranger to me! And second, he nearly killed me. Well, I guess it was kinda my fault that I almost died. And I still needed to know why he was playing my song...
"Only if you tell me why you were singing my song to Mrs. Bloom,"
He sighed. "I like your song, okay?" he admitted reluctantly. "Now will you please just get in the car?"
