❤ Chapter Eleven - Go, Piper! Oh who am I kidding? ❤
I was telling Katie about the trouble that I ran into that Saturday night at the party, 'forgetting' to mention that the guy who saved me was Blake. I told her that some police had come to my rescue and had taken me home.
After I was done with my story, she told me about what happened to her at the party. She had danced all night long, barely talking to anyone. Luckily, she didn't drink any alcohol that night, though she had returned back to her house at near one in the morning because she was having too much fun dancing.
Suddenly, someone snaked their hand around my waist. Instinctively, I slapped it away. The person only laughed at me, and instantly I knew who it was.
Non-other than... Blakie Boy.
"Ugh! Why do you always do th-" I was cut off.
"Well, well, well, look who's here!" Cassandra suddenly came strolling towards us. Katie whisked herself away and left me alone to rot and die.
Cassandra was wearing a white dress and sky blue heels. I flipped myself so that I was out of Blake's grasp and was now facing the two of them.
Blake was wearing a worried look on his face. Or was it guilt? Cassandra smiled at me and then she did the unexpected - she kissed Blake.
❤❤❤
I learned two things that day:
1. Cassandra and Blake were dating.
2. Never trust Blake.
3. Cassandra wears too much lipstick.
Okay, so maybe the third number really wasn't all that important. Katie and I were sitting in the cafe that Hari and I had hung out in the other day. I told her about Cassandra smooching the life out of Blake right in front of me.
"Wait, why am I even making this such a big deal?" I sighed in frustration. Katie smiled slightly and shook her head.
"Oh, you know why," she said.
"No, I don't."
"Obviously, you're jealous," she said as she sipped her latte.
I shook my head and crossed my arms over my chest. "I have nothing, absolutely nothing, to be jealous about."
Katie rolled her eyes at me. "Yes, you do. Cassandra is - no offense - the most beautiful girl that I've ever met. And she's dating Blake, and she's rubbing it in your face. You have every right to be jealous, P!"
I stared at my best friend, not believing that she thought that I was jealous of that girl who looks like Aphrodite herself... Wait, what?
"Whatever, can we just... change the subject or something?" I suggested. Katie nodded understandingly.
"You know what I think? I think you need a distraction."
"A distraction?" I quirked an eyebrow as I sipped the remaining contents of my beverage.
"Yeah, you keep over thinking things and it's just hurting you. Now, I know that you're focusing on your music, but you haven't been doing a lot of that lately. Hey, why don't you join cheerleading?" Katie perked up. I didn't want to hurt her feelings, but I couldn't help it - I laughed. Hard.
"Me?" I asked through snickers, "A cheerleader?" I laughed again. Katie semi-playfully glared at me.
"Yeah, just try it. You're seventeen, you know. Live a little."
