❤ Chapter Twenty-Two - Love, faith, and a little trust ❤
Oh everything was awesome and cool and beautiful and nice BUT...
I fell asleep on the taxi.
Yep.
I guess my burst of enthusiasm and excitement left me drained. It was about four in the morning when we arrived, and Hari and Blake were both having trouble keeping their eyes open.
After that, I woke up at about nine in the morning. Blake was already wide awake outside and he was lying down on the couch, flipping through the channels.
"Hey," I greeted him.
"Hey," he replied.
"How did I get to the bed?" I asked him.
"When we arrived, I carried you bridal-style and set you down on the bed as Lim collapsed on the other bed. I slept in the other, smaller room. But don't worry, you can sleep there later of you want. We were just so exhausted that we didn't have time to figure out which room was--"
"Bridal-style?!" I demanded through gritted teeth.
"Hey, at least you got your beauty sleep, princess. You're welcome."
I rolled my eyes and went to my suitcase which was near the door. I dragged it to the room where Hari was sleeping and tried to open it soundlessly. Hari was snoring rather obnoxiously, but I couldn't blame him--the trip was exhausting.
I took out some beige shorts and a black tank top and some undergarments with my bathroom bag and went to the bathroom.
Taking a thirty-minute shower, I made sure that I washed myself and my hair well since I really wanted to feel refreshed. After changing and wrapping my hair in a towel, I brushed my teeth and put on some powder on my face.
When I exited out of the bathroom, Lim was still asleep. I tiptoed out of the room and went to the living room thing.
"It's a good thing that Lim got a suite. Wait, this is a suite, right?"
"I think so, yeah," Blake replied.
"What hotel are we staying in again?"
"The waterfront hotel," Blake said. I nodded and slapped his leg so that he would sit up and not lay down. He did so and I sat in the couch beside him.
"I'M HUNGRY!" he suddenly sang. Yes, that's right--he sang.
"You don't have to sing about it," I told him.
"But I am!" he whined like child.
"And what do you want me to do about it?!" I rolled my eyes.
"Uh, call room service, duh!"
Before I could respond, Lim entered the room with a a drowsily amused expression. "Okay, who put the old married couple in my hotel room?"
Blake and I glanced at him. "You're up."
"Yup," he responded, smiling."I'm just going to go and freshen up before we go get something to eat." I gave him a thumbs-up before he disappeared back inside the room.
"Happy now?" I asked Blake as I turned the volume to the T.V higher. The channel was nickelodeon, and spongebob was playing.
"At least spongebob here is still in English," I said.
"Why, what did you expect?"
"For it to be in Tagalog or Cebuano or whatever."
"Why would you think that?"
