Katie's POV:
"My name is Tyler." States the guy from the t-shirt shop. From the tone of his voice, he sounded like I should of already know him. I mean I guess I should of, but I got more important things to do; for instance, focusing on school.

"Yeah I remember now. I was shaking out my purse for change." I say, laughing a little. I didn't look up from my paper, but I could tell that he was excited I know him. I write down the answer to the last question on the paper really fast, then dropping my pencil.

My right hand hurts from writing all the steps and answers for this worksheet. I stretch the palm of my hand, then wince a little.

"You Ok?" Tyler asks me, distressed. "I'm fine. Just wrote too much." I reply, waving him off.

I glance at the clock above Tyler's head.

"I should probably start packing up. Lunch will be over soon." I notify Tyler. I start packing away my work while he grabs his backpack. Tyler walks up next to me and helps gather my papers. "Thanks Tyler, you very helpful." I flatter him.

He smiles, with his cheeks reddening. I pull my bag over my shoulder and think. Tyler the t-shirt guy, he's even nicer, and shyer, than I thought he was. I lead us out of the library when Tyler asks, "Does everybody always stare at you this much?" I giggle and answer, "You'll get youst to it if you hang out with me." I answer casually.

I look at Tyler; he opens his mouth to speak, but then refuses to let it out.

He wants to hang out, since I'm the popular girl in school. I thought he'd better than everybody in the school, but no. I wish guys wouldn't just wanna hang out to become popular; one of the cons of being popular.

"Ohhh Kat-ty!"

Oh no. Not her, not now!

I spin around to see Jasmine walking over to me and Tyler. I haven't seen her since chucking a ball at her arm, and now, she has ice tapped on the bruise. Tyler sighs next to me, "Do you like her?"

"Does anyone?" I ask back.

We both laugh before Jasmine is close enough to hear. "So Katty, I didn't know you were dating Tyler." She claims, seeing us together. "What?!" I respond. "I just helped her with her homework; that's all Jasmine. No serious relationship." Tyler clears up. Jasmine's eyes transfer from me, to Tyler, then back to me. "Your not in a serious relationship, but your still in a relationship. And Katty, aren't you going on a date this afternoon?" Jasmine brings up, trying to wreck the nonexistent relationship between me and Tyler.

"Were not dating!" I yell at Jasmine. "Just friends!" Tyler adds, yelling as well. "Ok, Ok, sheesh. I was just teasing. Anyway, I came to say my mom was to harsh on you and ..." she stops to disagree with the decision. Well, if she wasn't being obnoxious, none of this would of happened. She returns answering, "Your back on the team and practice. Lucky you." She replies contemptuously.

Wait, I'M BACK ON THE TEAM!??

"Are you serious?" I demand, grabbing her arms. "Ouch! MY ARM! MY ARM!" Jasmine cries.

I forgot about her arm. I let go and say, "I'm sorry, but seriously?"

"I know right, I was trying get you off- I mean back on the team. Anyway, see ya later you two." She winks at us, before walking away from us.

"She's so annoying." Tyler brings back up. "Did you hear that, I'm not kicked off the team!" And I hug him. I squeeze him as tight as possible. "That's great, but, how were you going to be kicked off in the first place?" He asks confused, hugging me back.

"Well, you saw the ice pack on her arm. I kinda caused it." I whisper to him. Tyler starts chuckling. "Did she make you angry or something?" He asks, finding this funny. We let go of each other, and looking at him I answer, "She wasn't looking when I was throwing the ball. It's half her fault." I explain. Suddenly, the bell rings for lunch to end.

"Looks like its time to go. See you in class tomorrow." Tyler farewells. He starts walking away, and it starts making me sad seeing him leave. He's so funny and cute when he blushes.

"Wait Tyler!" I stop him.

He turns around, answering, "Yeah?"

Oh ... what do I say? "Um ... would you like to come over and help me wash my stepmom's car after school?" I ask him.

What am I doing? Help wash my stepmom's car ... great invitation for any friend.

He looks at me weirdly, raising his eyebrow, then replies, "Sure, it sounds fun. What time?" "Just um, 7 o'clock?" I tell him, not even knowing. "Ok, I'll be over at 7, to help wash the car. Adios Katie!" He says, turning back around.

Right after our conversation, the hallways become filled with people. I turn on my heels to head for my next class, when somebody bumps into me. I look up and see Chase. OH MY GOD THE DATE! I totally forgot! This is why I don't date, I'll forget!

"Katie! Where were you at lunch? I wanted to ask you the place you wanna eat at?" He tells me.

"A place to eat huh. How about Olive Garden?" I suggest. Chases face becomes even brighter, and he notes, "I love Italian food! This dates going to be perfect!" Before I can comment, the warning bell rings to get to class. "Ok Katie-" and he grabs my hand, and softly kisses it. He really cares ... about me.

"See you right after school." He smiles perfectly before walking into the swarms of people in the hallway.

Chase really cares about this date, and here I am having other plans. I hope the date isn't too drastically long, because hanging out with Tyler was fun.

Just like at the t-shirt shop.
