Tyler's POV:
"Hey isn't that Chase from the baseball team?" I ask Katie. "It seems like it." She responds from behind me. What's he doing here? Was he invited to wash the car, because if he was he's late.Chase comes out from behind the car; he's wearing a black suit and tie, with his black hair perfectly combed back. I wonder what's up with the getup?
He walks over, glaring me down as he walks towards us. "Katie!" He greets Katie, totally ignoring my presence now. "Hi, Chase. You're like, an hour early." Katie says aloud. I look at her in confusion, but her eyes stay focused on Chase.
"I thought we could leave early for our date," Chase stops, looking back at me for a second. "Unless you have other plans."
Katie's going out with Chase! How couldn't I have seen it! They're perfect for one another: they are both athletic, good looking, tall, ... and I thought I had a chance.
"I mean I was going to show Tyler around my house," Katie notes, looking at me with a gentle smile.
Chase starts laughing, interrupting the conversation. "This loser over here. Katie, he runs track! That's like, the lamest sport ever!" Chase insults me. I can't believe Katie actually goes out with people like this! I turn and start walking away from the two.
"Tyler wait!" Katie calls me.
I stop. What does she want now? "Yeah, slow down so you can win the race!" Chase yells, laughing even harder than before. That's it, I'm done with Katie and her jerk boyfriend. I start running home.
I can't believe her! She was so cool until her boyfriend showed up. I thought she was different, but she's just like other girls. I knuckle up my fists in anger as I run out all the frustration in me. I I turn the corner and keep running down the sidewalk. A few yards away, I see something on the ground.
What could possibly be on the sidewalk in the afternoon? As I run over, the something turns into a t-shirt, a very familiar t-shirt.
As I stand above it, the answer is clear. It's the Minnie Mouse t-shirt I sold to Katie. I pick it up and huff. She didn't even have the courtesy to keep the shirt she bought! I grip the shirt in my hand and growl in anger.
From now on, Katie Vanilla is the worst person in the entire world.
