Katie's POV:
I watch as Tyler runs away from me and Chase at the curb of my driveway. "What is wrong with you Chase!?" I yell at him. Beside me, Chase is a laughing stock, almost falling over onto me. "Come on you gotta admit I'm funny." He laughs.

I cross my arms and glare at him.

Chase sees and stops laughing slowly. "Oh, your serious." He realizes. "Yes I'm mad! Tyler's my friend! There's no need to make fun of him or insult the sport he plays." I stand up for Tyler. Chase chuckles and says, "He's a track runner, that's all. He has barely any friends and he's geeky. There are so many reasons to make fun of him, and besides, he was totally flirting with you."

"He wasn't! We were just done cleaning my stepmom's car." I explain.

Chase rolls his eyes and puts his arm around me. "Let's just go on our date." He moves on. After he just did that, he wants to just go on a date with me. I push his arm off of me and stand firm. "I'm not going anywhere with you, not after what just happened." I inform him.

"I was only joking. Come on, you know I didn't mean it." He says, grabbing my hand softly. I rip my hand away from him. "You know what, your just as bad as the other guys in school. You can go on that date with someone else cuz I'm not coming." I state, walking back to my house.

"Your really gonna dump to the most popular guy in school!?" Chase questions as I open the front door. I turn around and say, "Who cares? Popularity is overrated anyway. Also, see ya tomorrow at school!" I say goodbye, closing the door before he could respond.

I sigh and close my eyes. That felt good, getting all that off of my chest. But ... I feel so bad for Tyler. He didn't deserve to be bullied like that, and it's partly my fault too. I wish I could say sorry to him for all the trouble I caused.

Now that I'm thinking about him, I should wear the shirt I bought from him last. It should be in my backpack. I hurry upstairs into my room. I sit on my bed and open up the biggest zipper on my backpack.

....

Where's the t-shirt? I feel around the bottom of the bag with my hand, yet nothing's there. I rummage through the other zippers, but the shirts not there either. "What happened to my shirt?" I ask myself.
