Tyler's POV:
I open my eyes quick, sitting up just as fast. "Whoa whoa whoa, calm down." I look forward and see my Dad sitting on the edge of my bed. I'm laying in my room, and the fan's on its highest speed, keeping the room cold.

"You Ok Tyler?" He asks me. "Wasn't I at Katie's house?" I ask, remembering what happened. "Yeah but that was before you had that reaction to peanuts. And what have I told you about leaving the house without your Epipen?" He tries being angry at me.

I look at my desk and see my Epipen is still in the corner where I left it. "I just didn't think I needed it." I say truthfully. "But you did today. I don't wanna lose you Tyler. Your all I have left." He says, standing up while looking me in the eyes. I smile, "Don't worry Dad, I'm not going anywhere."

He grins before walking out of my room.

After he leaves, I pull my blankets off me and get out of bed. I check the time on my phone; 6:30. I've been asleep for hours! I wonder how Katie's doing. I mean, I was dragged home and given the shot, but I wanna know if she's Ok.

I leave my room, running to the kitchen where my Dad's making dinner. "Hey Dad, what happened to Katie after the whole fiasco happened?" I ask immediately.

He doesn't answer, pouring the sauce onto the spaghetti. Hey he's making my favorite meal! Probably since I had that reaction earlier. "What a minute, you made spaghetti and meatballs for dinner?!" I ask shocked.

Dad spins around, holding two plates filled with spaghetti and meatballs. "Of course! After your day, you deserve this." He explains, handing me the plate in his left hand. I take it happily and place it on the counter. I take the fork on top and start chowing down.

"It's good right?" Dad asks me, already knowing it's delicious. I nod, but after say, "You never answered my question."

"About Katie, oh her guardian showed up and wasn't happy about what happened. I heard from the yelling that she's grounded." He explains. "Grounded?!" I gasp. "But she didn't do anything!" I state, slamming my hand on the counter.

"Calm down Tyler, it's Ok. I'm sure they're working it out civilly." Dad answers, eating a meatball whole.

I smile, but I know I need to fix things with Katie and her stepmom.

I drove straight to Katie's house the next day, remembering I gotta fix her situation. I park on the curb because of the monster truck taking up all the space in the driveway, and walk to the front door.

I ring the doorbell, and seconds later, Katie's stepmom opens the door. "Oh your Katie's boyfriend with the peanut allergies, aren't you?" She asks specifically. Despite her being home, she's dressed very formally in a gray dress with her hair flowing down perfectly by her sides. "I am and-"

"That's enough, your not welcome here anymore." She explains, closing the door.

"Wait! Why!?" I asked shocked, blocking the door with my foot. Mrs. Vanilla sighs annoyed and answers, "Because you brought us unnecessary attention yesterday. Besides the ambulance, there were paparazzi wanting to know what happened. I was stupidly unable to answer the questions and know I look stupid to the entire world thanks to you and my stepdaughter." She explains thoroughly.

"Now if you'd be on your way-"she tries closing the door. I keep my foot in place, trying to actually give a response. "You must un-punish Katie. She didn't do anything wrong!" I beg.

"Ok, so do you want me to punish you?" She asks. "Well no, but-"

"Someone must be punished, weather it was there fault our not." She cuts me off. "But I'm the one who caused you problems." I tell her. Mrs. Vanilla opens the door back open and puts her hands on her hips. "Look boy, she will be grounded until Monday. Thanks for trying to help her, but it isn't going to work. And like I said, you should be on your way, your not welcome here anymore." She says, slamming the door in my face.

Well she's delightful. And so much for helping Katie out; I think I made it worst. I start walking back to my car. Guess I'll see her Monday, but for now, it's time to go to work. I get in, start up my car, and head for the t-shirt shop.
