Katie's POV:
"You finally asked him out! I'm so happy for you!" Brianna says to me. We're in the locker room, changing for practice, as I just told Maddie and Brianna that I asked out Tyler in the morning. "The guy you've been raving about for a week is finally yours girl!" Maddie adds dramatically.

"He was just as excited as I was girls, and his friend Jax was telling him to ask me out! It was destined to happen today at some point." I tell them, pulling my cap on. We keep talking about me and Tyler dating even after leaving the locker room.

"His friends really cute!" Maddie says. "Right! I can't believe he hasn't asked anyone out!" I say.

"Katty!"

Here we go.

Jasmine runs out next to me, resting her arm on my shoulder. I push it off, and ask, "What Jasmine? We're having a serious conversation over here." She smirks, strutting it front of us like she's leading. "I heard you and Tyler are going out," she says.

"Ok ... and?"

"Besides me, your the most popular girl in school. Why are you dating him? Chase Anderson was wrapped around your fingers and now your holding hands with Tyler." She tells me. "And now, he's dating yours truly!"

"No wonder you dumped him, he has bad taste in personality." Brianna whispers to me.

Jasmine spins around grinning. "Who's got the better boyfriend now?"

"Wait a minute, you are trying to impress us by having a hunky, ugly personality boyfriend?" Maddie asks confused. Jasmine rolls her eyes. "Having the better boyfriend is everything Ok. I don't see you getting praise from not having a boyfriend." Jasmine sasses Maddie.

"But you know what I do have? Friends. Something you might wanna look into." Maddie points out. Me and Brianna both laugh as we start walking away from her.

"Maddie you're a Savage!" I continue laughing. "Ehh, it's what I do best." She brags, shrugging it off.

We walk into the field grabbing a ball from the bucket and start warming up. After a few minutes, Coach whistles us over to home plate. We all jog over and take a knee. "Ok everybody, today actually going to be a free day-"

Evrybody cheers excitedly hearing what she just said. We never get a day off; this is the first in 5 months! "GO GIRLS!" Coach yells above us. We all run over to our bags and head back to the locker room. "Finally a day off! My arm was starting to hurt from all the pitching practice." Brianna says, stretching her right arm out. "My legs are sore." I add, feeling the tension in every step I take.

"My whole body hurts!" Jasmine pushes in between us. "Why are you here?" Maddie asks annoyed. Jasmine puts her arms around me and Maddie saying, "I'm just chilling with my girls."

"Um, no." Maddie states, brushing her arm off her. I do the same while asking, "Since when were we 'your girls'?"

"Since I said so." She states happily. The three of us all look Jasmine with our WTF faces. "No, I'm sorry but we're not 'your girls'. Instead, why don't you go find your boyfriend; isn't he was practicing right now?" I suggest to her. "Your right! Thanks Katty!" And she dashes off, running to the baseball field.

One minute she's insulting us and the next she's our 'bestie'. Somethings definitely wrong with that girl. "What was that about?" Brianna asks. "She just wants attention. Forget it. Let's go change and hang out with everybody else." Maddie says.

We all hurry back to the locker rooms and have fun, enjoying our day off.
