Nova Dillon
"Why does life suck so much?" I groaned, and read through my old journal I had bought just days after- you know what happened. "I don't even want to look at this. I sound so desperate."
This wasn't at all easy. It felt like a constant battle, trying to make mine and Louis' relation ship last. And trying to get over Cole at the same time which was absolutely impossible. Some part of me knew he was my soulmate. But it was obvious he didn't want it to be that way. He's done nothing but avoid me ever since we broke up. He got a girlfriend, and even is the most popular guy in school. But it won't change the fact that I know more about him than anyone ever will.
"Baby," Louis cuddled up next to me on my bed, after leaving Cole's house to get some fresh air, "If I don't go to his party. My reputation could drop. So that's why I'm asking if you'd like to come."
"I can't Louis! How could you even ask? You know how much Cole hates me," I whimpered, and started playing with his soft fingers.
"I'll stay by your side. He can't kick you out," He smiled, "I won't let that happen."
"Even if he doesn't. It'll be too awkward for me to handle. I don't want to sit in a corner and watch his drunk ass eat his girlfriend," I explained.
"Wait, I have a question," He mumbled, and started to become more uneasy, "Have you been texting him? Because he says you text him all the time and you told him something- untrue about me."
"Louis," I sighed, "I only texted him once since our breakup. He didn't even respond, I have proof."
"I knew he was lying."
"You don't have to worry," I gave him a kiss, along with a heart warming smile, "I wouldn't want you going to the party alone. Surrounded by a ton of girls, so I'll go."
"Really? Yay, I was afraid you'd say no," He took a deep breath, "In that case. Let's go, the suns setting."
And we left my house. Walking awkwardly to Dylan and Cole's house as people quickly started flooding through the wide doors. It couldn't be that bad? Just drinks, and food.
"Didn't you win prom queen a while ago?" Louis asked randomly.
"No. Why does it matter?"
"It's doesn't matter. I'm just- asking," He yawned, and we both entered the too familiar house, "That was the night I gave you flowers and Cole came back."
"Let's not talk about the past. Let's talk about the future," I pushed his arm and he laughed, "Holly shit, this is chaos."
We viewed the house full of thousands of people. I swear to god the entire school was over at Cole and Dylan's house. When usually, it was just us three.
I already felt claustrophobic while Louis was off, greeting every single one of his friends. Since he clearly wasn't interested in hanging out with me. I took it upon myself to go upstairs where no one was.
Would Cole really care if I ventured his house? It's not like I'm a stranger. I'm just, uncomfortable.
"Nova, what are you doing?" I jumped when I noticed Dylan, sitting in the corner by him and Cole's room, "I just need a break from the loud noise."
"Sorry. And same, I'm just claustrophobic," I sighed and sat down next to him, "I don't even know why I'm talking to you. You're the reason Cole broke up with me."
"Thanks for reminding me of the horrific moment. But I don't regret it," He shrugged, "I loved you."
"And now you don't love me?"
