(3 MONTHS LATER...)
Pyroclast's POV
Sometimes, I cried.
I used to never cry. In fact, I was so positive, but now, things were different.
Once Maia was gone, the school didn't have that sea of people... but instead, it had a big hole... only filled with new High Schoolers.
I usually kept my hair over my eyes. Grade 8 sure was different. I never went to Room 15, but I can't help but wonder what was behind the door now...
One day, I realized how much Maia and the simulations of Grade 7 had changed me.
A Grade 9 along with his friends walked up to me and harshly put his hand on my shoulder.
"Why are your eyes red? That's weird."
I sighed.
"Yeah, my eyes are naturally red. Now can I wait in peace?"
"You're so sad. Did your mother die or something?" another one of his friends said, laughter rippling through the group.
"It wasn't my mother. Now will you please go away?" I tried to ignore him.
"Heh," one said.
"Red eyes are for weirdos. This girl is a weirdo!"
My anger fumed.
Why were they being rude?
Didn't anyone notice?
Did anyone care?
I had to take this into my own hands.
"You're a----" the main guy started.
Immediately, a burst of water hit his face. I meant straight at his eye. It seemed like it hurt so bad.
I heard Riverflow say, "What was that?"
While he did that, I twisted my hips and threw my fist at him. It caught him in the temple. He fell to the floor at once.
I just noticed, while I had my fist balled, it was on fire.
Another boy came up to me from behind and roughly picked me up.
I could have sworn I saw a fluid-like whip hitting his arm.
Meanwhile, I thrashed, kicking my feet around and caught him by the groin. He moaned and collapsed. I rolled down to the floor, looking up.
Two people came at me from both sides. I waited as they approached. At the last second, I jumped forward as they collided with each other. I threw my fiery feet at each of them and got one. He collapsed the other way while the other fell backward.
"This girl wants to play it tough, with this... boy over here?" the boy whom I hit first grunted, getting up on his feet.
"May I play it tough as well?"
Oh, dear.
The Grade 9 dashed toward me as fast as he could, his fist ready to punch me.
A wall of water rose in front of me, knocking him off guard.
After he recovered, he threw a hook punch at me. I ducked and sprang back up, striking his jaw with my fist of flame.
I tried sending out another punch, but he socked me in the stomach before I could do so.
I stumbled back as he rushed toward me.
A dome of water surrounded me.
As he still rushed toward me, I saw a liquid hand grab him by the ankle and make him trip.
The dome dissipated and I stood up. I looked around, suddenly aware of the people around me.
I stared at the people Riverflow and I had fought against. All of them were on the floor, groaning in pain. One had a slightly crooked nose, and blood seeped from it. Another suffered from a bruised jaw.
We really did this much damage?
A counselor made his way through the crowd, staring at us angrily.
My heart sank.
"Looks like you two caused this fight. You're the only ones who are standing up."
He grinned.
"Do you know what we do with those kinds of people?"
I gulped.
"First week of school, eh... you're lucky your grades haven't suffered."
The next part broke my heart.
"You two are suspended!"
