Blackout's POV
Sadness washed over me once I set my foot to my school's doors.
Maia was dead.
Someone I once fell for when I was young...
I was with Rocksworth, Cyclone, and Spotlight. Neither of us spoke a word.
That was until someone tried to insult me.
"Hey, you freak! What are you doing here?"
Cyclone was about to scream at her, but I stopped him.
"Let her be. She'll leave..."
But she didn't.
Cyclone's eyes started sparking.
Lightning shot from his fingers and hit her face. She got paralyzed.
"Cyclone! Why did you do that!?" I scolded him.
"Well, she was insulting you!" he retorted.
"Just, please try to calm down..." I tried telling him.
I suddenly remembered something...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My best friend was killed by his hand... he deserves no mercy from me...
"Uh, guys, I need to go..." I said.
"Why?" Rocksworth asked.
"None of your business. Now will you please excuse me?" I rushed out.
Rocksworth's POV
That was strange...
There was obviously something wrong going on with her...
"Spotlight? Follow me," I told him.
"Fine..." he grudgingly went with me.
We tried our best to stay quiet as we followed Blackout.
Her form surprised me.
She looked more like a wraith now. She wore a black jacket and black pants.
When Spotlight saw her, I saw him become pale like paper.
"We need to run..." he dragged out.
"No. Let's ask her what's wrong," I dissented.
"Ugh... whatever you say," he conceded.
We quietly approached her.
When she turned to us, her left eye was purple and yellow.
She spoke in a voice lower than her typical one.
"You... prepare to face my wrath..."
Spotlight froze in fear.
Oh, gosh...
She started conjuring a black hole out of nowhere. It seemed like it would fire a deadly beam. It was directed at us.
I decided to stop her.
I threw my hands out to her.
But when I did, stone shackles went around her hands.
"Get these off me!" she screamed.
"Spotlight, calm down, will you? I have her down," I tried calming his nerves.
"How do you expect me to calm down? She almost killed me once!" he squeaked.
"Then face her now!" I ushered him.
"HOW WILL I!?" he screamed.
Immediately after he did, his eyes started glowing white. His hands were in front of Blackout. They emitted a blinding light. She got disoriented.
When he stopped glowing, he had fear written all over his face.
"Oh, floppers, I'm so sorry---" he said in a rush.
Blackout, now in her human form, said, "That's alright. Shouldn't I be the one to say sorry?"
Spotlight wasn't able to speak.
"I just kind of... lost it when I remembered that dream. I'm sorry."
What dream?...
Oh, that...
The one where... was it her old friend?... got killed...
I immediately left the scene.
My mind was overloaded with what I had just seen today...
Cyclone paralyzing someone with lightning...
Spotlight emitting light from his eyes and hands...
Blackout in wraith form and almost killing Spotlight again...
Myself shackling her hands with stone...
Just what was going on?
