17. Gakushuu x Shy! Bullied! Reader

I'm trying to write more today since I did not go to school xD

Note: this oneshot is like about the reader from when she is a child to her current age and random flashbacks would be triggered. They'll be written in italics. Don't get confused when you suddenly see them lol.

"(Random Name), we'll be best friends forever right?"

"Of course (name), forever"

"Even when we're adults?"

"Even when we're adults, I promise," There was something strange about her, you noticed it, yet you didn't mind since she was the only one who came up to you and offered to be friends since you were too shy to take the initiative.

'We were always there for each other, but what happened to that promise...' She left suddenly. Not leaving the school, just leaving you. Both of you were still in the same class. The only thing that changed was she went to another person. After that, you started to distance yourself from others even more.

The awful memory crossed your mind every time you walked across (random name) in Kunugigaoka Junior High School. She was in the same school as you and ever since she noticed you in the school, she started spreading awful rumors about you, accusing you of many things and threatened you a lot. Well, there's no physical touch in the three things mentioned above but spreading false rumors are counted as a form of bullying.

Because of her, you got into tons of trouble and you was surprised that you haven't got sent to class 3-E. You lnes too well it was thanks to your boyfriend who was always speaking up for you in front of the his father. He helped you many times since you didn't have the courage to speak up. Many wondered how both of you haven't broke up since your personalities were worlds apart.

"(Name), ignore her. I'm here," that line that gakushuu told you was always comforting enough yet not enough to be satisfied. Why? Because in the past, she said it too. "(Name), she's not worth it. She doesn't understand. It's her loss that she left." Gakushuu told you and patted your back lightly. You knew he was different from her. He was sincere, she was not. Both of them treated you differently from how they treated others. And you knew she was really not worth it just like what gakushuu said but you just couldn't forget about her.

"Thank you gakushuu.." He hummed after hearing that from you.

"I'll be here, if something happens, just tell me okay?" This was not your first time seeing him being so caring but it still touched you. You nodded with a small smile. Everything seemed fine, until you came to school the next day and found (random name) doing the same things that she did to you to your classmate. Though you usually don't speak up, you couldn't stand it. Your past 'best friend' changed so much and you just had to stand up for that innocent girl that was currently getting bullied.

"(Ra-random name)! Stop... Stop it!" You stuttered out, putting up a brave front yet your legs felt like giving out.

"Huh? (Last name)?" She looked at you with a very hostile look and it still hurts whenever you heard her call you by your last name yet you couldn't possibly show how weak you are when you're trying to protect someone, right?

"St-stop right now!" You shouted and backed off as she walked over to you with a lifted eyebrow.

"Who do you think you are?" She pushed you with her head held high. "What? I can't hear you. What do you say? Answer me! Who do you think you are?" She smirked now, as if mocking you. Your classmate instantly ran away and decided to tell gakushuu what was happening currently.
"A-asano-san! (La-last) (name)-san is in trouble!" She pointed in the direction you were at before putting her hands on her knees, trying to catch her breath. Before she could say anything again, she saw gakushuu already running towards said direction.

"(Name)! You! Stop right now!" He shouted as he ran towards both of you. (Random Name) immediately let go of your collar and scurried away. "(Name), are you okay?" You nodded but you were shivering a little in fear.

"(La-last name)-san... Sorry I ran away... It's my fault you got into this. You could have just left me alone," your classmate kept bowing down and apologizing.

"Its okay..." You reassured her and tried to tell her to calm down.

"(Random name) was it? She'll get what she deserved," gakushuu muttered under his breath. "(Name), be careful. But don't worry, I'll never leave you alone anymore," though it sounded somewhat exaggerating, you knew he was very serious, and you liked it, especially how protective he was of you.
