20. Cheater! Guilty! Karma x Sad! Reader

"What? Do I love you? Of course I love you"

"Why are you asking this question again and again?"

"I'm busy tonight, don't wait for me,"

"Stop doing unnecessary things anymore, you're just wasting both of our time."

"Sorry..."

What led it to this... Those words haunted you. He kept repeating them over time yet you could never get used to them. Why did his speech changed from the first line to the last in just 5 months? You never got it. Was it your fault?... You always wondered with a frown on your face. He never complained yet he never seem satisfied with anything you do.

"(Name)? (Name)! Snap out of it already!" Your best friend sighed as she tried to get your attention. "Are you thinking about him again? He's not worth it. It's been months already, you know?" She couldn't understand something too. Why did you like karma so much? Even after he changed drastically? Well, you can't understand that too.

However, she knew one thing that you didn't notice. You were always saying you're fine and was always smiling even after everything he did but she always noticed that frown of yours that when you were alone. What they didn't know was that the red head noticed those frowns too, and that didn't make it any easier for him to live with the fact that he actually just cheated on you when you did absolutely nothing to deserve it.

You wanted him to come back to you, yet you were scared that the same events would happen again. He wanted to apologize again and again but he knew it was never enough. He didn't dare to go near you again after how terribly he had treated you.

"(Name), why did you even like him after what he did," (best friend's name) casually asked you with an annoyed face. She didn't like seeing you being so sad even after so long.

"I don't know..." You just sighed, always answering her with the same sentence.

"Then why not you just talk to him again?"

"No..." Normally, people wouldn't want to talk to their ex only because they were so disappointed in them. However, you were just too scared that if you were to talk to him, you would just see that woman that he cheated with on you.

"If that's what you want, then fine, but (name), tell me if you need anything, alright? I'll be there," she patted your back lightly and you nodded with a small smile. On the way home, you saw him. The person that you were so scared to meet. You wanted to avoid him so you tried to walk away. Well, I guess luck was no with you at that moment since he spotted you. Doing what any other person would do, you ran in the opposite direction, hoping he would just forget about chasing you. Of course, why would he do that? He called your name and grabbed your arm after running after you.

"(Name)... Sorry, I miss you so much... I was stupid to do that, you deserve better... But I just kept thinking of you. Like while I was in the middle of doing something, you would just pop into my mind, wishing I could do it with you... When I was doing something we did together before, I was hoping that if I turned my head... You would be there laughing with me yet all I saw was myself... I know this is too much to ask for, but... Can we start all over again?..." He looked down and blurted everything out with slightly trembling shoulders.

"Karma, sorry... I'm not ready yet," that's the truth. You wanted to be together yet you're too scared.

"I understand..." He still nodded understandingly.

"Thank you..."

I'm gonna work on some one-shots for Christmas or maybe Christmas eve. 1-2 days left and I still haven't start yet lol. So right now, requests are currently closed~ but during the time that I have not updated, I thought of ideas to be used in some requests so there should be at least 1,2 or 3 updates every week depending on how lazy I am to write the one-shots lol. I have blabbered enough so I'm just leaving now.
