31. Horibe Itona x Reader

Itona, the guy who have not showed much emotions since he transferred to class 3-E... and the only guy you've noticed so far. He was special to you, though both of you never had a conversation, interest and curiosity sparked after observing how he acted towards everyone.

You were quiet, not shy. So if you wanted to talk to someone, it's easy and therefore, you decided that today was the day you were going to talk to him and get to know him better.

"Hey there! Itona, right? I'm (Name)," You walked over to his desk while he was packing up after school, ignoring the noise the class was making.

"I know," He replied, which shocked you since no one really mentioned you. You were the type to just blend in and not trying to stand out so most people wouldn't even know you, yet he did. Well, at least this makes everything easier but you still wondered.

"Uhm, how did you know my name? I've never talked to you, you know?" Your curiosity towards him grew and you soon became comfortable around him after conversing for a bit. Time passed, both of you hung out more during lunch. He would take the initiative to ask or you would, no ego problems at all. But one thing was, you knew a girl and a guy being best friends? Only the few lucky ones could keep being friends while others fall in love, and that was exactly what happened.

"(Name)-chan! I heard you were going out with Itona oh my gosh!!!" One day Kayano squealed, confronting you suddenly. Hearing that, Your cheeks turned red, stumbling with your words while trying to clear up the misunderstanding.

"You're.. you're wrong!! We're just friends!" You protested, hearing her giggle.

"You don't have to deny it~ Everyone's talking about it, ya know? I couldn't believe it so I came to tell you and here you are denying this news, it'll make Itona sad!!!" Kayano squealed even more, ignoring what you have just said. Knowing she was not gonna listen, you talked to Itona about it after school, hoping your friendship would not be ruined even though you really had a crush on him.

"Uh.. Itona, you know... the thing they're saying..." Itona nodded, not hesitating one bit.

"Well.. maybe we could, try it. If you understand..." Itona blurted out with a tinge of red, averting his eyes as you looked at him unbelievably. Did he really just...?

"Su-sure, If you don't mind then..." You looked down awkwardly and by the time you dared to look at him in the eyes, he was smiling.. widely, for the first time ever.
