Leo
After saying those words she walked off again, probably back to her garden or cave.
I explored the island though not venturing the part where Calypso was. One time I did, I peeked at her little house then the next second she was throwing pots at me, and yelling for me to get out. Sheesh, what a temper.
I decided to camp out on the edge of the forest near the beach, she wouldn't see me here, at least when she might walk past by she wouldn't go into a fit.
I made my own little tent, but it was more like a shed, just enough for my upper body to fit in and for a little shade from the sun. Since I couldn't do anything, I just cleaned the Archimedes sphere. Just to do something. I wandered around a bit more holding a walking stick. Just then when my stick hit the ground I heard a CLANG! like metal. . .I dug around excitedly when I saw a bronze thingy majig.
"Hey Dad? If you sent this here, thanks, if you didn't, thanks anyway."
I carried it back to me in my camp. Now I had something to do, at least.
Then I thought of what I could use it for... then I pulled out a hammer and a few nails and some screwdriver from my magical tool-belt, then got to work, hammering away.
Calypso
I was in my garden when I heard a loud clanging noise, like someone hitting metal as loud as they could. I ignored it at first. But after a few hours I followed the sound and it led me to his camp. He was so busy working on the scrap of metal, and making too much noise to hear me coming towards him, much less see me, he was too busy looking at his work.
What does he plan to accomplish? After a few minutes he stopped hammering for a second and that's when I make my presence known.
"Your making too much noise, and your scaring the birds."
"Holy--Don't sneak up on me like that! I almost hammered my thumb!", he said in surprise.
"I wasn't sneaking up on you."
"Whatever, so what time is it?", he said
"Time is hard here."
"What? How long have I been here?"
"A few days maybe? You cannot tell time here. And you might've been here for a week, a day, a month, a year and so on...", I replied
"What?! I'm losing my track of time here.", he said with sarcasm.
"You are the most infuriating annoying demigod! Can you stop with the sarcasm for at least a while?!"
"Oh yeah, your warming up on me."
I could just imagine my face turning red as a tomato.
I decided to change the subject.
"So, what are you doing?"
He was startled for a while, like he didn't know what to say.
"Um, I'm making a device that'll help me navigate back to the world. Or just see what's happening outside."
"Can I help?"
"You don't look like the sort of person right for this job." He said grinning up at me.
Then I said in a perfect imitation of his voice.
"Oh yeah, your warming up on me."
He was startled, then as much to my surprise, he laughed. And I couldn't help joining him.
Leo
She had a very nice laugh, then I realized it was the first time I heard her laugh. And I was actually happy that I made her laugh. It's nice to see Calypso like this for a change.
"See, I'm funny."
She tried her best to kill the smile on her face.
