"Hi." Finn heard her  say, jusy as he finished keeping the phone. "Oh hi." He said, trying his best to act natural. "The director's calling you by the way. We have a scene to shoot." He nodded and they walked to the classroom set.

Millie glanced at Finn, and noticed something odd. He seemed cheerful when the days started. Now, she couldn't read his expression. It was blank; he didn't smile, but he didn't seem sad or anything.

"Finn are you-" she started, but they arrived at the classroom and the director talked to them. "Okay so this is the scene where Kevin and Alice are reptimanded by the teacher." They nodded.

"Alright places.." they sat beside each other on the chairs to the right. Finn stared blankly at the chalkboard. "Finn--" Millie started, before they started the scene.

"Lights... Camera... Action!" The director said. The actor who played the teacher explained the lesson boringly. Finn was staring blankly again.

"Cut! Finn, you were supposed to say your line." The director said. Finn snapped back to reality. "Oh sorry." The director sighed. "Take two." They started the scene again.

Finn groaned and whispered. "Do I even need to know calculus when I'm gonna be a professional athlete anyways."

Millie chuckled. "That's really what you wanna be? A profesional athlete?" She asked. "What's wrong with that?" He said, frowning.

"Nothing, nothing. It's just that, how would you earn money that way?" She asked. "A lot of famous athletes get very rich." He started going on a detailed explanation about the most famous athletes he knows and how successful they are.

"Okay, okay. I get it now." She said, desperately trying to get him to stop.

"Alice and Kevin, would you like to share what you're talking about to the class?" Miss Penny said. "Nothing." They said in unison.

She gave them one last glare and went back to explaining. Millie glared at Finn and focused on the lesson.

"Cut! That's good." He said. Millie smiled in satisfaction. "Next scene will be at the football field." Finn stood up immediately and waked briskly to the place where they would be shooting next.

Millie glanced at him and frowned. He's definitely not okay. She thought. She felt like he was ignoring her on purpose, and she didn't know why. He said that he had personal issues, bit  she didn't see a reason for him to avoid her.

She tried recalling what happened last Friday when they went to his house. Did she offend him in any way? Did she do something wrong without knowing? She tried answering these questions but it just didn't add up.

"Lights, Camera, Action!" It was just them, Kevin and Alice, at the wide football field. "You wanted to talk?" Finn asked, in a very monotone tone.

"Cut! Come one Finn, more emotion, sadder, softer." The director said. "Right sorry." Finn said. He was not in a particular mood to act. "Take two, lights, camera, action!"

"You wanted to talk?" Finn said, a little too rudely. "Cut! That's a bit too harsh don't you think?" The director said, smiling. Finn's cheeks turned red. "Sorry."

After many takes and messing up of lines, the director decided that they would shoot the scene again tomorrow.

"Listen Finn." The director called him after. "I don't know if something's bothering you but I need to tell you this: this scene is very important. Tomorrow, we need to finish shooting it. Please please please practice. Please." He said.

This made Finn guilty for his poor performance today. "I will, I'm sorry." He said

He walked away and he saw Millie waiting for him. He sighed. There's no escaping this one.

"Finn, please be honest with me. Are you still having issues with your family? Or are you mad at me?" She asked desperately.

"Same old issues; I'm not mad at you I swear." He said, and tried to walk away, but Millie grabbed him by the arm. "Then why are you avoiding me? Finn, just tell the truth! Friends don't lie."

Friends don't lie. That line; it hit him. It hit him very hard.

But how was he supposed to come clean, when he didn't even know what he was lying about?

Hello people! It's a Sunday today and I'm cramming so.. btw, a few things I need to clarify:

1) In Between will be put on hold for a while since we will just be focusing on our own books

2) For those waiting for an update in Sudden Difference, Delia accidentally deleted the chapter she was writing. She's really frustrated about it so it might take a while before she rewrites.

Thank you for those who keep supporting my book and are putting up with my slow updates atm. I update during the weekends and maybe weekdays when there aren't any homeworks.

Read Sudden Difference by Delia and Two Choices by Scarlet!  ❤
