"Hey, Kenz. Did I catch you at a bad time?"
"Nah, I was just finishing up dinner with my family and some friends. What's up Dani?"
"Okay. So, I know I didn't answer your text, but there's a reason. I wanted to tell you face to face. Can you meet me at the beach in 10?"
I sat down on the bed, Demi coming in after me. I shot her a look but she whispered mom sent her up. I rolled my eyes and kept talking.
"I can try. You've got me freaking out here Dani, you're not going to kidnap me right?"
"Nope. It's nothing bad. I just wanna talk. Promise. I'll see ya there."
I hung up and looked at Demi. "What are you doing up here? I know mom didn't send you, she didn't even notice I got up and left." I grabbed a pair of boots, and my varsity jacket.
"Fine. I just wanted to talk, but I guess you're too busy for me." Demi said, lowering her head and moving toward the door.
I jumped on her back and held on tight. "I'm sorry Dem Dem. I'm a terrible little sister. What's up boo?" I hopped off, pulled her into a hug and sat on the floor.
She sat down next to me, "Who's the girl from the beach that Aly was talking about?" She started tracing my last name, well old last name, on the bottom of my varsity jacket.
"Her name is Danielle, and she's amazing. I just met her today, but honestly, I think it's love at first sight. She has the most beautiful brown eyes, a breath taking smile, her laugh is like, awesome, and her body - DAMN! It's amazing. I really really like her Dem. I just don't know what to tell mom and Eddie. What if they don't accept the fact that I'm bisexual? What am I gonna do Demi?" She pulls me closer to her, and kisses my temple.
"Don't worry baby girl. They'll be okay with it. I promise. Even if by some slim chance they don't accept it, you're living with me anyway, and I'll love you no matter what kiddo. Forever and Always."
I smiled and hugged her. We got up and went downstairs. I asked Amy and mom if I could go to the beach for a little bit, to clear my head since I've had so much on my mind lately, and they both agreed. I took Demi's car, after I begged her, and texted Dani telling her I'd be there in 5. I was late when I got there, but Dani was sitting on the tailgate of, what I'm assuming is her truck.
"Hey missy. You're late." Dani said, when she saw me.
"I know I know. I'm sorry. My sister wanted to talk to me about something. I'm here now though. Is this yours?" I asked, hopping up into the bed and sitting behind her.
"Yep. I got it from my brother. He went off to college, I was staying here so he gave it to me. I love it. Hey, there's something I wanna talk to you about K." Dani said, staring out into the sunset.
"What's up D?" I ask, playing with her hair. Wow I have hair issues.
"Uhm...I know we just met today, but I can't get you out of my mind. Kenzie, I really like you and I wanna give us a shot. If you'll let me?" She asked, never taking her eyes off the sunset.
"I totally agree. I like you too Dani, like a lot. I wanna see how this plays out, and if it doesn't work, we can still be friends. Are we giving this a shot?" I asked, wrapping my arms around her waist.
She turned her head, looking from the sunset into my eyes. We stared into each others eyes for a few moments, then she leaned in. Fireworks. That's the only thing I can describe it as. I didn't feel anything near this with Taylor or Luke. Dani is special, I can see myself spending the rest of my life with her.
