Isamariá
After school, I went straight home. I didn't want to see or talk to anyone, at all.
As you probably guessed, I was livid from earlier. Seeing Andreson Suck the lips off of Rebecca made me want to punch the both of them in the face. I mean, I knew she liked him and everything, but that was just surprising, yet ridiculous.
I don't even know why I was mad. I don't even like Andreson, and he didn't like me.
Anyways, I got home and I cleaned up the house because George had his face stuck into the television, again. Momma was at work, and Kaylani was at daycare.
As I was cleaning up the kitchen, I heard some interesting news on television.
"All evening, this video clip of Andreson Valdez, and a girl have been passed around." This man on TV said.
Then, they showed that clip again.
My teeth cringed at that. I put the plate down and stomped into my bedroom, slamming the door shut. I can't believe this was on the news!
"Ugh!" I shouted.
"Why are you screaming like a crazy girl?!" George yelled to me from the living room.
"Nothin.'" I scoffed.
"Are you mad about that boy again?" He asked.
"No, no!" I groaned as I shook my head. "Mind your business, George!"
After arguing with George, eating dinner, and playing with Kaylani, I stayed in my bedroom for half of the evening.
Just then, the phone rang. I smacked my teeth and got up, walking into the living room and picking up the phone.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Isa!" Andreson panted over the phone. "Did you see those clips of me and Rebecca? It's all over the news."
Ugh, don't remind me, damn you.
"Yeah, what was that about?"
"She used me, Isa!" He groaned. "I swear I didn't know that she was recording everything."
"What do you mean, Andreson?"
"I'm saying that-"
The phone beeped indicated that someone else was calling me.
"Hold on," I said.
I clicked the other line and to my surprise it was a weeping Rebecca.
"Isa?" She groaned.
"Rebecca?" I scratched my head, "What's wrong with you?"
"I need you over here, as soon as possible!" She exclaimed.
"Umm, okay." I said.
I hung up the phone and called Andreson back.
"I have to go, sorry!"
I hung the phone up and threw my jacket on. George crunched on his potato chips and looked over at me,
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"I gotta go." I said before leaving the place.
I rushed down the stairs and left the projects area. Waving to a couple of friends, I made my way to Rebecca's house, which was down the street from Walton High.
After fifteen minutes, I arrived. I knocked on the door, and Rebecca answered shortly. Her eyes were red and puffy, and her face was bloated, so you could tell that she was crying.
"Thanks for coming, Isa." She said as she opened the door wide.
I walked inside, and she closed the door. I followed her into her bedroom, and saw Rosa sitting on a chair, reading a magazine.
"Are you okay, now, Rebecca?" Rosa asked as she looked through the magazine.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Andreson set her up, big time." Rosa smacked her teeth. "I told Rebecca that he wasn't no good."
"Wait, so he video taped you guys kissing all those times?" I asked.
"Yes." Rebecca sniffed. "And, I think he sold it to the media."
Different people, same story?
"Wow, that's weird." I said in a low tone.
"What?" Rebecca asked.
"Nothing." I shook my head. "How did you find out he video taped you guys? Maybe someone else did."
"Rosa found out from a friend.." She whispered. "Right?"
".......Right." Rosa nodded. "Ace told me. He finds out everything."
"Well, if he did, then move on." I shrugged. "You should never cry over a boy."
"But, we were together." She sniffed.
What?
"You were with him?" I asked, clearly of no clue that this was going on.
"Duh." Rosa said. "Why are you acting so surprised, Isa? They been had a thing for each other."
"Nobody told me," I mumbled.
"Anyways, I keep telling her to call him and talk it out with him." Rosa rolled her eyes. "What do you think, Isa?"
"I guess."
"There's your answer, sweetheart." Rosa smiled.
"Thanks, guys." Rebecca smiled.
"I guess I'll go, now." I said as I stood up.
"You don't want to stay over?" Rosa asked. "We can't paint our nails or something."
"I'm good," I sighed. "I'll see y'all at school, tomorrow. Bye."
I left the house and started making my way back home. I was so mad, I couldn't even describe it.
Why wouldn't Andreson tell me that him and Rebecca were together? Why wouldn't Rebecca tell me? Ugh.
So, I tried to think about something else on my way home. It wasn't even worth anything, especially my time.
