Isamariá
Another Friday night at the parking lot. Ace, Emma, Rosa, Tony, Justin, Mary, and I were hanging out in Ace's car. He was playing some Snoop Dogg on the radio, and I was just bobbin' my head to the beat of the song as I listened to my friend's conversation.
I hadn't really talked to Jada since we got into that small argument. I just stayed around Mary and the rest of the crew. We were still on speaking terms, but we just didn't talk as much as we used to.
"So, Tony was like 'Man, I lost my pager,'" Justin laughed. "So, I was all 'I bet you five dollars that it's under the bed.'"
"Dude, I did not bet!" Tony laughed. "You bet with yourself, man."
"No dude, you did, I swear you did." Tony smiled. "So, we went to his crib, and then we looked under his bed, right? And it was right there in his face. But, he wouldn't pay me five bucks."
"You guys are stupid." Mary laughed. "Can we talk about something else? Because, this convo is not what's up."
"Tell her, girl." Emma gave her a high five.
"What is everyone doing Sunday?" Ace asked. "I'm going to church."
"Me too." Mary nodded.
"I think we all know that everyone is going to church on Sunday." Justin laughed.
"I don't go." I said. "But, I'm a good Christian." I smiled.
"We know." Everyone said in sync.
"What's up with you and Andreson, though?" Justin asked.
"Nothing." I said. "Why?"
"Come on, Isa." Justin smiled. "You know he likes you, right?"
"Justin, we're just friends." I chuckled.
"No, really." Tony said. "You should see the way he looks at you."
"You should date him." Justin suggested.
"Guys be serious." Rosa scoffed. "Rebecca and Andree are on the verge of going back out. Plus, Isa doesn't have time for a boyfriend right now."
"Thank you, Rosa." I smiled.
"You still like him, though." Tony mumbled.
I ignored Tony and went back to listening to the Radio. Now, the station was playing 2Pac. I smiled as I listened to 'Brenda's Got a Baby.' because I had always adored 2Pac, mainly because he was a wise man.
Anyway, I looked over and saw Ace sitting in the front seat of his car lookin' like someone robbed him of his happiness.
"What happened to you?" I asked.
"Nothing." He mumbled as he looked away.
"Come on, Ace." I grinned. "You can tell me."
"I don't know, it's like everything revolves around you and Andree." He said. "And, I really like you.. But, Andree has been in my way and shit."
"Andreson and I are just friends, like I said." I smiled. "And, like Rosa said, he and Rebecca are on the verge of dating again. Don't let him get in the way over your feelings.... Maybe we can go out some time or something."
"Really?" His eyes widened.
"Yeah, Why not?" I shrugged.
He smiled at me. I'm not going to lie, he was pretty attractive. His curly hair was now a juice fade, and he pretty much resembled Tupac. I knew that he liked Tupac as much as I did.
