Naru's P.O.V
I didn't get much sleep due to us getting home so late last night so on the plane I decided to take a small nap.

Finally the plane landed and as always Lin and I argued about directions and what not. So by the time we reached my parents home, out voices were sore and beyond tired. We knocked and the door, and after what felt like ages, the door opened to my mom and dad standing in the walkway with excited looks on their faces. "Hey, Oliver! I'm so glad you could come! Where's Gene?" Dad looked for him. "To be honest, I don't really know where he disappeared to. Most likely because the author forgot to raise him from the dead." I said directly to the author with a glare so stern that pierced the 4th wall.

Without hesitation, Gene's head pops out of the bushes next to the doorstep. "How's it hangin'," Gene greeted us. I facepalmed and walked inside.

Due to jetlag, I retired to my room ready to pass out. As soon as I open the door the last thing I ever thought would happen, well, happened. Mai jumped from around the corner and yelled, "HELLO!" I screamed bloody murder as I fell over and scurried backward until I hit the wall.

I panted as I heard the rest of my family parade up the stairs like elephants to see what happened. My mom wrapped her arms around me and continued to ask what was wrong. Mai was still inside my room's doorframe so they couldn't see her. They shouted and asked if I was okay. All I could do was point. I was as pale as a ghost. They looked and they screamed too."Am I that scary," Mai asked chuckling.

"You're alive," I managed to get out. "Yep, alive and kickin'," She shouted doing a high kick to show it. "I have so many questions, but first, I need a nap," I said passing out in my mom's arms.
