Killian POV

Once we reached the house Arlo, Alek, and Alex were already there, they were inside.

We walked inside and followed their scent as they were in the living room. We sat down and all looked at one another.

If things couldn't get anymore awkward. I said mind linking Lucca.

Tell me about it. Lucca said

I chuckled and they were all confused as why I was even laughing. It was silent for what felt like minutes but was actually a few seconds.

"So, why didn't you tell me Lucca was a filthy DRAGON!" Arlo's voice slowly raised.

I didn't like him yelling and disrespecting Lucca. So I got up and stood my ground while growling menacingly at him while at the same time slightly covering Lucca. Everyone in the room except Lucca shivered from my growl and looked down as if bowing.

"I don't expect you to understand but this is the man that kept me fed and took care of me for ten years. I do not wish to hate you Arlo as I know you are a kind man that gave me a home when in need of one, but I will not tolerate you speaking ill of my dear friend" I said while using my alpha voice.

"I do not care for what he is, the only thing I care is who he is and that is my....... the most important man in my life" I added.

That was close, I almost said 'my man'.

"Look Killian, I don't hate all dragons, it's just the ones that use others for their greed. How do I know he isn't gonna use you and throw you away later" Arlo said.

"I've been with him for ten years! Don't you think he would have already done it already" I said trying to reason with him.

"Arlo, look I understand. You're just looking out for Killian, but I would never hurt him. I've already done that by making him an orphan, I don't intent to hurt him ever again. Believe me when I say I care for Killian like if he was my own" Lucca said as he slightly pushed me to sit back down while making eye contact with Arlo.

Arlo huffed which can mean two things: he's lost or he's irritated.

"What's your next step then Killian? What now?" Arlo asked.

I looked over at Alek and Alex as they try to plead with their eyes, that I stay. I turn to Lucca and ultimately we all know what my decision is going to be.

"I'm leaving with Lucca...... I am really grateful to you and your family for accepting me into this home and trying to make it my home but my home is with Lucca, always has been"

Arlo looked saddened but understood. They know I have not been happy. It wasn't until the moment I saw Lucca once again today.

Alek and Alex were not crying but looked heartbroken. I know they'll get over me and move on when they meet their mates or sooner.

Arlo stood up and looked at Lucca and I.

"I need to talk to you guys in private"
