Chapter 25: Lucca

Lucca POV

~4 years later~

Tomorrow's Killian's Birthday and I have no idea what to get him. I've let him choose what he's wanted to do for the past several years. But this year he'll be 18 years old. I want to let him out and search for his mate. I've been meaning to talk to him about this, about his future. What he plans to do after finding his mate or for starters after tomorrow.

He's going to leave isn't he? Klaus said.

I think so buddy. He's of age and we can't hold him back from his mate.

Klaus has been really upset about Killian leaving with his mate. I've been thinking about this for a while and honestly every time I think about it, it gets me upset.

At this moment Killian is hunting for food, even thought we don't need to anymore. We live in a cabin far way from the town here in Washington but not too far away where we can't buy ingredients for pancakes.

Killian has certainly grown up. He's way taller than me at this point and he's definitely built up since he was 14. He has a defined 8- Pack, tannish skin ironically, chiseled jaw-line with an amazing beard growing out. Very sexy.

Wait, did I just call Killian sexy? Sexy! Sexy? Seeeexy. Sexy.

"Hey, I caught a couple rabbits and amazingly a buck as well"

"Oh shit! Killian you scared the shit out of me" I mention while clutching my chest so my heart doesn't fall out from the scare.

"Sorry, I thought you heard me come in" he says innocently

"It's fine, I was distracted by my thoughts"

"What's got you so distracted?"

I blush and turn my head sideways not looking at him.

"Nothing, really" I can't tell him, that I was thinking he was sexy.

"Okay, then." I glance at him and he has a scowl in his face.

"But hey, I need to talk to you about something. How about you wash-up and I'll get cooking with the ingredients you brought, alright?"

"Alright, I'll see you in a sec"

I go ahead and slice the buck and rabbit. Deciding to make buck stew and rabbit skewers. Pretty much an easy meal.

By the time I've set all the necessary ingredients to make the stew and skewers to cook, Killian's coming his way towards me.

"So what'd you need to talk about with me?" Killian questions

"Nothing bad, I swear" I try to calm him down by the look of his confused and nervous face.

"Okay" he breaths out a long breath, trying to relax

"I was wondering what your planning, future wise? I mean your going to be 18 tomorrow, meaning you'll be able to seek your mate. I think it would be great if you traveled and searched for your mate. What do you think?" I turn to look at Killian and he looks straight out pissed.

"Are you kicking me out now that I'm turning 18?!"

"No Killian I just simply think -"

"What if I don't want to go searching for my mate?!"

"Killian, you'll deprive your wolf from its other half, you can't do that to Dimitris. You'll suffer because you crave for your mate"

"Just give me sometime, I'll have the answer tomorrow. I just can't today, okay?"

"Yeah, that's okay. Let's get ready to eat" I said before sending him to get the plates and utensils and setting them in the table.

Hopefully he hears me out and does what I say.

Once we finished our meal we headed to our rooms in silence.

I undressed and took a quick shower before laying down onto my bed. Today was mentally exhausting hopefully tomorrow will be easier.

I was remembering today's events but before I knew it I had fallen asleep. Dreaming about Killian and his attractive female mate visiting me with his pups at this cabin. Out of nowhere I growled at his mate and Killian got extremely angry at me and it upset me how he'd take her side instead of mine. I whimper and Killian attacks me by confining both my hands and straddling me so I could not fight back. It all felt so real and before I knew it, my eyes opened thus waking me up from my dream. Killian was in front of me, doing exactly the same as in my dreams except one tiny detail.

"Mate" Killian growled.
