Killian POV

~3 Months Later~

I'm in my math class and I look out the window. The townspeople walking on the sidewalk going about their day in this gloomy day. There's no sun, all cloudy and it seems like it's going to rain, but that's not what the weather was supposed to be today. At least that's not what the weather man said this morning in TV. For the last past months I've been taught the norm of this day of age. Phones, Tv's, basically technology. I still haven't learned the need to make friends. Everyone here is basically self-centered, they only care about their themselves but I get it, they have the luxury of not having to worry about survival since their parents or guardians take care of them. Of course not all the kids here are like that. There are only a few orphans in this town, which are taken care of by the local church. They know hardship and reality of this world better than others.

"Mr. Black! Would you like to answer the question on the board?" Mr. Robinson shouted.

I hate it when people do that, they questioning you but know they don't want an answer back because it was truly an order. Why question me instead and just demand that I answer the question. Uuugh humans are too complicated.

I get up from my desk and walk to the front of the class. Everyone has there eyes on me and some blush and some glare. After Arlo's consecutive pleas for me to experience school, I caved in. Gosh I have such a weak spot for him. The first day I came to school everyone admired me for some reason, I didn't know why but later that day they told me why, it was because of my near escape months ago when I jumped on their school bus and jumped out a moving bus. They repeatedly told me that I was so cool. I just smiled and nodded because I didn't think that at all, that day I was scared and lonely, just like 10 years ago. Some feared me because of my tattoos and mysteriousness and the other hated me because I was getting attention.

Mr. Robinson handed me the board marker and I answered and algebraic problem with the equation he taught us. These classes were so tedious. Lucca taught me everything I needed to know including all school and world related things. Not everything because there are several things in this world that he can't teach me in only 10 years. There's only so much I can learn, but overall my academics were the least of my worry.

I solved in less than a minute and returned to my seat where I went back to look outside. Mr. Robinson already knew I was superb in my academics and tried to convince Arlo to make me skip grades but I declined because I didn't know for how long I'll stay here. My gut feeling and Demitris are telling me that sooner more than later, Lucca is coming.

Mr. Robinson thought it was such a shame, he of course understood but didn't stand by it and thought my talents were in need of developing. He is human, so his view of the world is smaller compared to mine.

The bell rang and I grabbed my backpack when Mr.Robinson shouted

"Killian can you stay back for a minute?" Again with the non question demand.

"Sure" I said and walked over to his desk.

"I know you understand what I'm teaching but can you at least pretend to pay attention, I get it, I'm boring but try to look in front of the class once in a while instead of looking outside."

"Will do Mr. Robinson" I said back

"Alright, you may go" he said
