Mason POV

We traveled three towns and no sign of Killian. I was getting tired of this but I knew that Lucca would never give up. Lucca never smiled or laughed when it was unrelated to Killian. He barely spoke of him and I only received a bit of facts like how he's 14 years old. He's very mature for his age also that they lived together for ten years after Killian's family died. I asked Lucca how they died and he changed the subject immediately and saw no reason to push any further. Just when we were going to set off, Lucca decide to ask a few locals about Killian and surprisingly we got a lead, well it was actually more than a lead. The old lady that runs the bed and breakfast home, actually knew Killian and she happily told us that today was his graduation day. I looked towards Lucca and he looked like he wanted to cry but held it in. Lucca is a very closed off man and for him to be in this state was saying something. He went all out, even got himself a tuxedo and for me a suit. He also got a haircut and forced me to get one as well. I didn't like people touching me, but Lucca reassured me they woudln't hurt me. As soon as the old lady, Kaytlin, locked up her BnB, we walked to the school together.

I got to admit we looked sexy as hell. Once we arrived the school I went with Kaytlin to get a flower necklace and when we arrived alongside Lucca. A lot of people stared at us. I blushed and kept my eyes ahead to the class graduates of junior high when I smelled a fantastic smell I had once sniffed at the alleyway. It was the same, chocolate ice cream and cherries. I looked all around for the smell and I saw the man glare at Lucca, he doesn't seem to have noticed I was here which at first annoyed me but I soon felt a twinge of self pity as I look a young girl sitting right next to him. I felt my heart in the brink of despair as the scene before me told me I was not his first mate and the girl next to him was his daughter. Lucca looked at me and asked if I was okay, which I was not. I told him, he was my mate and once I confirmed he was Lucca looked a bit relieved for some reason. But overall he simply said that if he truly was my mate then he would love me no matter what. I nodded and feared a bit about how the man would react.

Lucca pointed out Killian, he really stood out. Lucca didn't tell me he had tattoos on him. He looked like a straight up trouble maker, but from what Kaitlyn told us Killian was a sweet boy. Kind of hard to believe from the we he looks. He didn't smile until he looked for my mate while receiving his diploma. That got me pissed, My wolf Sebastian, internally growled. I let it go as it probably didn't mean anything intimately. I could feel Lucca tense at the gesture. He looked pissed with a hint of jealousy. Observing all theses little remarks Lucca shows about anything related to Killian, he is an absolute different person, which made me come to a conclusion that Lucca was falling in love with Killian without realizing it.

Once the ceremony was over we all followed Lucca walking towards the boy. As we got closer Lucca stopped as he knew Killian would know we were here. And to my surprise he sniffed the air like a crazy person and knew Lucca was nearby.

As Killian found and looked at Lucca, he started crying like a kid. Some people stared but we ignored it and as turned to look at Lucca, he was shedding tears as well.

He must love him dearly. I want that from my mate. I thought while looking at my mate

I was so caught up by their reunion I didn't realize my mate was also looking at me. His eyes full of lust and desire. I could hear a low growl from where I stood. It made me blush immensely that I looked away.

Oh gosh how do I face my mate when he has a kid and already had a mate. Will he even love me? Will he reject me?

No! We won't let him! Sebastian growled.

I was too scared to look back but I did and what I saw fully ripped my heart into pieces. Regret and Guilt was expressed in his face. There was no way he would accept me. I wanted to cry till I could no longer shed tears but I held them in as this wasn't the right time to do so.

It's over Sebastian, he doesn't want us.

I heard him whimper as he turned off the connection.

Sorry this was a short chapter I just wanted to show Lucca's demeanor when Killian was not around and how a Killian completes him without him fully realizing it.
