I stood in the living room while all the kids put their dishes away and came to sit on the couch.

"Welcome one and all! To the most spectacular event in all of the history of our loop!" I shouted. "We have a special treat for you today! A bet!"

I paused as they applauded.

"Yes, yes! Today, you will vote by raising your hands. Enoch is going to sing a song. If he is good, I do his dishes. If he is bad, he does my dishes. So... The privilege of my freedom is in your hands! Uh... Yeah! Everyone, I present to you... DOLLBOY!"

"Excuse me?!"

"I present to you ENOCH!"

Everyone clapped and I sat down on the floor next to Claire.

Enoch went to the front of the room and cleared his throat.
"Guess it's true, I'm not good at a one-night stand
But I still need love 'cause I'm just a man
These nights never seem to go to plan
I don't want you to leave, will you hold my hand?"

Oh my gosh...

The button on my suit is loose.

I should sew it back later.

Holy-
I never knew Enoch could sing like that. Mi is screwed.

I watched, wide eyed. Holy s-

Everyone except Mi stood up and applauded. After a few seconds, Mi slowly got up and clapped with them. The look on her face is priceless! She came up and put a hand on my shoulder.

"Nice work, Enoch." She said. She stood in front of me and said, "Ok, everyone. It's obvious that Enoch won the bet. So congratulations!"

Everyone clapped. I took a bow.

"Starting tomorrow," said Mi. "I will be doing Enoch's dishes for a month. Good night!"

As I went to go to the basement, Miss P stopped me. "Mr. O'Connor, I had no idea you sang so well."

I shrugged.

"It's ok to be proud of yourself, you know."

She left and I went to the basement.
