It's finally a school day. I had been so sick of not attending college l where I had to rot at home doing nothing. I had only five classes today which are Psychology, Sociology, World History, English Lit and Pure Mathematics. I was majoring in Psychology and Sociology whereas my minor is English.School ended pretty soon as I was too focused on each and every lecture that I didn't notice that the class was dismissed. "Miss Elisavet?"
"Yes?" I snapped out of my trance. Oh goodness, I was swimming in a pool of dreams. Daydreams.
"The class was dismissed a while ago." My professor pointed at the large clock hung right above the whiteboard. "Hmm. Okay." I replied embarrassed as I shoved everything on desk into my backpack.
I was about to leave my seat when the professor came to my seat. He looked terrifying, well, he had always been. What exactly did I expect? I had been keeping up good grades so there should be no harms done.
"You have been pretty distant in my class, Adoni." To be frank, I had been keeping up a good teacher-student relationship with Mr. Ravenswood.
He had a soft spot on me ever since I participated actively in each of his session, let it be tutorial or lectures. He gave me guidance everytime I asked for it.
Not forgetting to mention, I was the one of the few students who actually wanted to come to school. The rest are pretty much forced.
" I'm sorry sir. A lot of things are going on currently which makes me lose my concentration in whatever I am doing." I regretted.
"I have to say, your results are excellent. I have no idea how you're doing well but if this continues, I don't think you'd be able to keep it up." He raised his concern.
I looked at him through the rims of glasses he had on. I really had my respect high up for him since he genuinely cared for all his students including me.
"Alright, Mr. Ravenswood. I'll keep that in mind." He smiled. I guessed he was almost the same age as my father.
"Thank you, have a good day sir." I waved him goodbye.
I made my way to the gym as I twisted and turned around tbe spiral staircase. Some familiar faces bid me 'hello' and 'hey' and I just smiled at them. I couldn't really remember how I got to know them so it's a better option for me to just not reply.
My phone rang as I entered the gym. I looked at the Caller ID and what I saw, confused me. It was from an unknown number. I picked it up and waited for the person on the line to speak first.
Silence was all I could hear and silence was what I returned. I was about to hang up when the person spoke.
"Elisavet, I know you're listening." I frowned. I wonder how on Earth Alexander got my number. I was at a point to wash my lips with some antiseptic to kill the germs he transmitted by kissing me a few days ago.
"How smart of you. You're a dumb seconds ago. What was I supposed to listen to?" I deadpanned.
"Listen Elisavet, we're dead-"
"Who are you?" I half-yelled at him. All the eyes in the gym turned to me all in a sudden. I just smiled awkwardly and went to the balcony where I would get more privacy.
"I am sorry. You might have called the wrong number, I am going to hang up, now." I said coldly.
He put me into enough trouble in the a span of two weeks. He drove me nuts already, I wonder how half a year would be for me. Maybe I would end up in a rehab as well.
I changed into my sports attire right after I left the balcony. I was wearing a sports bra and a pair of yoga pants.
I went to the locker and swipe my Student ID on the panel. I put all my belongings in it before heading to the treadmill.Sweat trickled down all parts of my body after running for ten miles. I was sitting on the floor to take some rest when someone joined me.
"Adoni, I am expecting you here." Adrian said, happiness visible in his eyes. He took the water bottle I was holding and finished the content in several gulps.
"Adrian, what the heck?" I slapped his chest. "Eww! You're sweaty." Exclaiming my disgust , I wiped my fingers on the carpeted floor.
He smiled, dimples popping out. He looked so boyish despite having a chisilled jawline and sharp cheekbones which was supposed to make him look manly. He inched closer, closing the distance between us.
"Trust me, Adoni. When we have done the deed, we're going to sweat more than this. Together." He whispered in my ears.
I flushed. He enjoyed my reaction as his smirked said it all.
He got up and before leaving, he gave me light kiss on my forehead. If I was quick enough, I would had been able to avoid it. Upon the kiss, he murmed, sounding as convincing as he could.
"That's a promise," he took off after finishing.
I froze at his determination. I touched my forehead as his touch still lingered there. It was not a dream, for sure.I put on some t-shirt afterwards and headed home.
The journey home was long as I walked home. It took me about twenty minutes to drag my lazy body home.
As soon as I got to my apartment,I went to take a shower. I smelt so much better now. The smell of wild berries and lemon lingered in the air.I threw a tank top and a pair of sweatpants on before heading off to the kitchen. My stomach was grumpling and I had no other choice than to feed it. I picked up an apple on the kitchen island. Opening the refrigerator, I grabbed a carton of apple juice and poured it into a glass. I took it to the living area.
I was about to set my butt on the couch when the door bell and my phone rang. What a coincidence, I knew. Who could that be? I wondered. I wasn't expecting anyone for sure. I grabbed my phone on the coffee table and saw Alicia was calling. I screamed profanities, in silence, of course. This could not be good.
"Yes,Alicia?"
"Adoni, they found it. In his room. I kept telling them, it wasn't you but they wouldn't listen." She worried and I could hear hiccups. She had been crying, I thought.
As soon as everything settled in, I literally died. My heart stopped beating if possible. My breath hitched and everything around me stood still
The door bell rang again. I opened the door and what greeted me, confirmed everything. I was in trouble. A deep one.
"What the heck are you doing here, Luca?! You're not supposed to be here! " I exclaimed. He panted while leaning against the wall. As soon as he regained his composure, he stood straight, towering over me with an intense look on his face.
"Shit. We're in deep trouble," he was monotonous as he stated it.
That was my cue to pull him into my apartment. Like a criminal I was, I locked the door immediately when we were both 'safe and sound' in the room.
