Chapter Twelve - "I Will Bleed On Your Carpet."

Avery's P.O.V

Three days have passed ever since Claire came over after school on Thursday afternoon. During those three days, a lot of stuff has happened.

On Friday, remember the kitten I found in my parents room? Yeah, I decided to keep her and I named her Ginger. My parents were suprised that I had a kitten in my room but when I explained to them about how I found it in their room, they just smiled and started to play with Ginger.

Claire came over again that afternoon and we watched movies like Tomorrow When The War Began and Mean Girls. During Mean Girls, we kept saying stuff about Katie and how she was just like Regina. It was pretty funny.

On Saturday, Claire had held her birthday party at her house and since her parents weren't coming home till Monday, she decides to invite the whole school because why not? Logan was there but he completely ignored me which was unexpected. After midnight though, he left and when I decided to ask what was up with him, he pulled the 'I have to go' card and rode off on his motorcycle just like he did before when I tried to ask him about the previous party.

On Sunday, Claire and I decided to go shopping since my clothes were 'old fashioned'. I don't get why Claire has to keep taking me out shopping for new clothes when I can buy them myself. I guess Claire likes to make me look good, I don't know.

Today is Monday and I'm returning to school. You might be thinking that I still have a few days off but our school decides to count the weekends too when the students are suspended. I didn't mind it that much because it was getting really boring and lonely at home by myself, especially when my parents had to work on the weekends. My brother came home early though on the weekend but he didn't help. Joshua just sat in his room playing video games and he wouldn't let me join. What a bitch.

"Joshua, can I use the bathroom now?" I ask, banging on the door. Joshua groans and I hear the tap turn off and the sound of the handle turning. Joshua opens the door and raises an eyebrow.

"What do you need to do?" My brother asks and I sigh, rolling my eyes.

"You really want to know?"

"Okay, well..." Joshua begins to close the door and I place my foot between the door and the doorframe, stopping the door from closing completely.

"I will bleed on your carpet." I say and Joshua gags before exiting the bathroom.

"Yuck, yuck, yuck!" Joshua says to himself as he walks into his bedroom. I smirk and close the door.

And that ladies, is how you get your brother out of the bathroom.

"I am so glad you are finally back at school." Claire says, giving me a hug. I smile and hug her back.

"Miss me?"

"No, I was just saying that because I felt like it. Of course, I missed you!" Claire says, rolling her eyes. I laugh at the fact that she has been visiting me everyday since I got suspended and now she is acting like she hasn't seen me for five years.

Typical.

"What do we have first?" I ask and Claire looks at the ground for a few seconds before clicking her fingers.

"Maths." Claire says and I groan, hating that I have the most hardest and confusing subject first on a Monday morning.

"Fuck my life." I mutter.
