Chapter Thirty Three - "Act Like A Child."
___

Avery's P.O.V

"She's in here? But this classroom hasn't been used ever since the fire?" I ask Joshua and Joshua nods, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Thats why it's a good place to be because the teachers won't suspect a thing." Joshua says and I nod, raising my hand up to the door handle. Joshua waves at me before walking off and I just ignore him, not bothering that he isn't coming in with me.

I turn the door handle and push the door open, looking at the figure that stood at the old wooden desk in front of the classroom. I look at Jade and Chance, narrowing my eyes at the scene.

"Avery? Well, it's so good to see you again." Chance comments as I walk into the room. I close the door behind me and ignore Chance, walking towards Jade who is placing a white powder in front of her.

Cocaine.

Jade looks up at me and smiles. "Hey sis, whats up?" Jade asks casually and I frown at her.

"You know why I'm here." I say and Jade looks down at the powder before smirking up at me.

"You want drugs?" She asks and I shake my head, placing my hands on the desk. Jade raises her eyebrow and looks at me with a confused expression on her face. "What then?"

"Don't hurt Katie." I say and Jade smirks, bringing out the pocket knife that Logan mentioned before. I look at it as she swings it around in her hand.

"Avery, you must know something about me. You mess with family, you mess with me. The fact that I have already told you that Katie deserves what's coming should be enough for you to give up and let me do what I do best." Jade says, looking at the pocket knife. I suck in a sharp breath when Jade points the knife at me.

"And what is that?" I ask carefully and Jade grins, switching the blade to a much more sharper and longer one.

"Let me just say four words." Jade says, standing up from her chair. I don't move at all when she walks behind me. She moves my hair away from my ear and breathes against my neck, sending chills throughout my whole body.

"I enjoy killing people." Jade says and I turn around, the memories of everything that Joshua told me popping back into my mind. I look at her, keeping my face blank as Jade flips the blade to the one she had before and she kept doing this, a small smirk on her lips.

"Why?" I choke out and Jade shrugs.

"I don't know but I only kill the people who have done me wrong." Jade says and I think back to our cousin and to the lady that Jade lived with for nine years or something like that. What did they do?

"But Katie hasn't done anything bad to you." I mumble and Jade nods.

"Thats true but like I said before, you mess with family, you mess with me." Jade says and I throw my hands in the air, looking at Jade with my eyes wide.

"That doesn't mean you have to kill her!" I shout and Jade shrugs.

"I have to do what's best." Jade says and I grit my teeth before groaning.

"Whatever Jade, I'm not responsible for your actions. You get in trouble, it's your own fault. I'm not being dragged into this." I say and before I can walk out, Jade grabs my hand.

"Oh but you are." Jade smirks and I snatch my hand away from her. I glare at her and cross my arms over my chest.

"No, Jade, no. I said no." I say and Jade looks at the blade in her hand and swings it around her finger. I gulp.
