Chapter Thirty Two - "Not After I Get What I Want."
___Avery's P.O.V
"Well, you had fun yesterday, didn't you?" Jade walks into my room and I brush my hair into a high ponytail, looking into my mirror. I shrug.
"You could say that." I say and Jade sits down on my bed.
"Look, whats up with you? You've been acting wierd around me and shit." Jade says and I tie my hair and place my brush on the table, turning around to face Jade.
"I just hate the fact your hanging out with Katie." I lie and Jade grins.
"The bimbo. Yeah, I don't like her at all." Jade says and I raise my eyebrow at her.
"Thats not what I saw yesterday." I say and Jade shrugs.
"What can I say? I'm a great liar." Jade winks and I roll my eyes.
Of course you are.
"Why do you hate her so much anyway? I've been feeling a lot of tension between you two when I'm around." Jade says and I nod.
"We just don't like each other." I say and Jade nods slowly before gasping.
"She was the one who made you cry that day, aye?" Jade blurts out and I furrow my eyebrows at her.
"What makes you think that?"
"Come on, don't lie to me. That's my thing." Jade says ans I sigh.
"Yes, she is the one that made me cry that day." I say and Jade shakes her head.
"Slut." Jade says and she swings her leather jacket over her shoulder and waves at me before leaving my room without another word. I look at Ginger in amusement but also confusion.
Suddenly, something hit me.
"Jade!" I scream out and I run out of my room to see Jade just about to walk out the door. Oh thank the Lord, she didn't leave yet.
"Yeah?" She asks and I let out a sigh of relief.
"Where are you going?" I ask her and Jade taps her nose and smirks, holding onto the door handle.
"I'll meet you at school, Ave." Jade sends me a wink before walking out the door. I groan and run my hands down my face.
Why do I feel like today is going to be so stressful?

"He keeps giving you the dirty look, Avery." Claire says to me and I nod, staring right back at Patrick with the same look he is giving me. Logan stands in front of me, blocking my view from the asshole and I look up at him to see him grinning.
"Whats the grin for?" Claire asks, biting into her burger. Logan steps to the side to reveal a short girl with dark purple hair and bright blue eyes.
Who the hell is this chick?
"Guys, meet Ebony. She is... a friend of mine who recently moved here." Logan says and Ebony smiles, waving at us. Claire waves but I just stare at the girl.
"Sunshine, it's rude to stare." Logan says and I roll my eyes before taking a chip into my mouth. Logan and Ebony sit down at our table and Logan takes one of my chips and shoves it in his mouth.
I hear my phone beep and I look at my phone which is on the table. I look at the name and I feel my heart drop.
Chance: You seem a little lost, baby doll.
