Chapter Seventeen - "Do You Really Want Me To?"

Avery's P.O.V

"Hey, people!" I hear a certain voice say behind me and I grin, turning around.

"Hey Patrick." I say and he grins, taking a seat next to me. Patrick looks at Claire and winks.

"Hey Claire." Patrick says and Claire smiles in response. I smile at the two.

I need to get these two together.

"I heard that new girl is your sister." Patrick looks at me, his eyebrow raised. I nod and cross my arms over my chest, leaning in my seat.

"News spreads fast." I say and Patrick chuckles.

"I've noticed." Patrick says and I roll my eyes, looking at my phone which beeped two seconds ago.

Jade: Where are you?

Me: The cafeteria.

Jade: Can you meet me in the gymnasium?

Me: Yeah sure.

I stand from my chair, earning looks from both Claire and Patrick. I wave them off and smile.

"I just have to go meet Jade in the gym. I'll be back in a few minutes." I say and they both nod. I walk out of the cafeteria and start to walk towards the gymnasium.

When I reach the gymnasium doors, I push them both open to see Jade on the stage with a few people and a certain brown haired boy.

Logan.

"Jade." I call and she looks at me, a small grin on her lips.

"Hey, sis." Jade says before jumping off the stage. She walks towards me and stops when she is in front of me.

"I just want to tell you that I won't be home tonight. Logan over here invited me to a party and I never say no to parties, especially when there are going to be hot boys there. So, don't tell mom or dad about my whereabouts." Jade says and I raise my eyebrow.

"You couldn't say this over message?" I ask and Jade sighs before a smirk appears on her face.

"My phone died just after you messaged me." Jade says and I nod, sighing.

"Okay, I wont tell." I say before turning on my heel and walking out of the gymnasium.

First, Logan winks at Jade then invites her to a party? Am I even existing?

Calm down Avery, your not even dating him. He doesn't even know you like him so he can wink at anyone he wants, my brain scowls me and I frown.

But it hurts.

"Okay class, today, we are going to watch Romeo and Juliet and watch out for the techniques and other things we learnt this week." Mrs Mason says and sits in her chair. She looks at Peter - the one that was sitting next to me on the bus - and tell him to stand.

"Peter, hit the lights please." Mrs Mason says and Peter being the idiot he is, walks to the light switch and literally hits it. He turns around to face Mrs Mason with a smile. The whole class starts laughing.

"Principle's office." Mrs Mason says and Peter turns to the class before bowing and walking out of the class room. Mrs Mason sighs and gets up, turning the lights off herself.
