Chapter 4: All I Could Ever Wish For

Author's Note: Wow, I've been so obsessed lately that I already finished typing this chapter in only a number of days! XD

Sorry for how long the recent chapters have been. I've been trying to fit in as much as I can into them so I stop at a good place in the game.

Anyways, I'm considering making another Character X Reader story after this one, but with a more interesting and different twist. I'm sure many of us have all wished we could live in the Pokémon world and escape this reality, right? Well, what if that's what happens in the next story I make?

I thought of creating a story where you play as yourself and somehow end up from playing the game on your DS, to actually being in the world of Pokémon and having to complete the story in order to return to your own world, falling in love with one of the characters along the way. It'll be a bit like the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games, except you don't turn into a Pokémon. But it will probably be just as heartbreaking in the end of it all~! >:)

After my battle against Wally, I had energy bursting inside me as I rushed to the building as fast as I could with a newfound excitement and anticipation that I didn't have before. I was determined to do my best to defeat the Elite Four and become the new Champion. Only then would I truly be strong enough to admit my feelings to my green haired rival.

I healed my current Pokémon team before I went to the PC and traded out two Pokémon to put Kyogre and Latias; who I had nicknamed Serenity for her elegant look, into my team instead. I didn't have them in my team earlier in my battle against Wally, and I did that on purpose. I didn't want to fight Wally with the help of two legendary Pokémon, when that could have overwhelmed him.

However, even with two legendary Pokémon on my team, there was still a chance I wouldn't be strong enough to beat the Elite Four. The thought of that made me extremely nervous, taking away my excitement earlier. I decided to return to Ever Grande City and spent the night at the Pokémon Center, wanting to be sure I was prepared to face the Pokémon League.

Once morning had arrived, I left once again and reached the Pokémon League. I must admit, I was still pretty nervous. With a sigh, I opened my bag and pulled out the Dawn Stone that Wally had given me yesterday. The beautiful light blue stone sparkles as I held it in my hand, making me smile as I stared down at it.

I felt relaxed whenever I looked at the stone. Maybe it's because it reminds me of Wally and how he's waiting for me. Just the thought of him made me happy. I smiled more to myself and gently kissed the surface of the stone before placing it back into my bag. "Alright (Y/n)! This is it. Let's go make Wally and everyone else proud!" I say to myself aloud, walking towards the doors guarded by two trainers.

They checked my badges and allowed me to continue on. I stepped through and found myself on a long bridge leading towards a building. It looked as if there was sand all around the bottom of the bridge, and orange leaves or petals fell around me.

I turned around to hear the doors behind me lock. Knowing it was too late to back down now, with a deep breath I walked towards the building on the long bridge, reminding myself that Wally was cheering me on and waiting for me.

I went from room to room, challenging each of the Elite Four and defeating them one by one. From Shelby the dark-type user, Phoebe the ghost-type communicator, Glacia the ice-type trainer, to finally Drake the dragon-type master. Each opponent was stronger than the others before, giving me an incredible challenge. However, I did not falter and stood strong before I finally defeated the last of the Elite Four.
