Authors note: this chapter include Zoë's POV. I just thought it would be nice changing the perspective a bit. We see how Zoë feels on everything. Comment vote etc thanks my loves!
Zoe's POV
"I'm just finally happy to be in school," Tristan said as we grabbed lunch.
"Slut," some kid said to him as they passed by. Tristan rolled his eyes.
"So I'm expecting a little niece?" I said with a smile. He nodded excitedly.
"Now we need to talk names because for sure you're going to be the god mother. I was thinking something along the lines like...Barbara or Tiffany..." I listens to him ranting on and noticed as Maya walked towards us.
"Tristan, Zoë," she said. Tristan glared at her then looked away.
"Do you need something?" I asked coldly. Maya wasn't exactly on Tristan's nice list ever since she tried to sleep with Miles a couple of months ago.
"Well no actually. Tiny, Grace, Zig, and I wanted to know if he needed help. Have you done your registry, Tristan?" Tristan didn't acknowledge Maya.
"Okay no...Maya I don't think he did...what's a registry?" I asked curiously.
"Well Tristan has to go to baby's r us at the mall and he basically scans what needs for the baby and then people who wanna get it for him can get it," Maya explained. I nodded. Why did she want to help Tristan out? There had to be a catch.
"Tristan, I know you're mad at me right now but we really do wanna help. We can't imagine what you're going through but we know it's not easy and we want to help you," Tristan still had his head turned the other way but I knew he could hear her. As soon as she left, he turned to me and rolled his eyes.
"Ugh...I'm gonna go talk to her...after I eat lunch because I am starving..." Tristan gave in. Ever since the incident he's avoided her in every way and shot her hateful looks every time he got the chance.
"Why is she being so nice? Is it because it's the holidays? Or is she pitying me?" Tristan sipped his water. We sat at an empty lunch table and I watched Tristan stuff his face with all the food. It took him less than 2 minutes to finish his plate.
"Can I have yours?" He asked staring down at my food. I chuckled and pushed my tray to him.
"Someone's hungry. You better watch it then you won't fit into your clothes..."
Tristan stopped eating and stared at me. Maybe I shouldn't have said that. "Oh my god. What if I get super fat and Miles' will leave me? Ugh...I need a dieting plan ASAP..." he stared down sadly at the foods
"UGH but WHY is this so good! Gosh,
I never appreciated the food here until now," I stared at him and shook my head laughing. Tristan had changed ever since he got pregnant. I mean, he's still my bestie. Now a days, there were two sides to him. The Happy Tristan and bitch. He could never be both. One or the other. I turned to see Miles and a beautiful red haired girl walking to our table."Hi babe," Tristan greeted him. "Hi Lexi," I smiled at her and she looked at Miles.
"Oh uh, Lexi this is the she witch, Zoë. Zoë this is my cousin. Know any single girls?" I grabbed a fry from my plate and threw it at him. Tristan sighed.
"Zoë, I could've eaten that," Tristan shrugged. I looked up to see Lexi still staring at me. She was so hot. Oh
"Um I need the bathroom. Baby is kicking so hard I think she kicked my bladder,"
"Okay, I'll come with," I said as I got up. Tristan shook his head.
"Actually, I was talking to Miles. I'll catch you later," Miles rushed to Tristan's side and gave him a hand getting up. Miles waved as he and Tristan left. I sat there quietly as Lexi stood up.
"Can I sit with you?" She asked. I nodded. We were both quiet for a while and then we started.
"So like what are your hobbies?" She tried to make conversation. "What do you like to do to have fun?"
"I actually love to act and sing. My bestie And I were suppose to go to New York together but he got pregnant,"
"Aww yeah, Miles told me about him. He's really crazy for your friend," she said. "My cousin is honestly a smart guy. He was suppose to go to Yale and major in political science. I didn't think he'd make such a big mistake so soon," I stared at her.
"Um I mean they should've been more careful but I wouldn't exactly call Tristan a mistake. Neither is the baby," I defended. How dare she.
"Well if you ask me, I think he should've aborted the baby. He's clearly throwing my cousins future and his as well," I couldn't believe what she was saying. Did she have no heart? I loved that baby already. I knew Tristan and Miles wanted to keep her.
"Okay well they aren't getting an abortion. And I for one can't date a girl who supports that," I exclaimed. She stared at me and chuckled. What the hell was so funny about this situation?
"First off, I know that. My cousin loves your friend and that baby. And second...who said anything about us dating? We were just having a conversation..." I suddenly felt my face grow hot. I looked up and seen that Tristan and Miles had returned.
"Tris, I'm gonna go," he exchanged glances between the two of us and nodded.
Miles POV
It felt good to be back in school with Tristan. People have been giving us looks all day but we didn't care. We had every right to be here. Having a baby didn't mean we had to stop our education. I knew Tristan felt sad because he couldn't go college after high school. I mean he could sooner or later but he'd have to take care of the baby first. I felt bad because I could do the things he wanted to do. After I dropped Tristan home, I went to the Armed Canadian forces office. I've always wanted to be a politician. Maybe it was in the Hollingsworth genes or something but I knew that being a politician at this point in life wouldn't help put bread on the table. I wanted to do this for Tristan and for our little family. It meant going away for 6 months but the sacrifice in the end would be worth it.
"Are you sure about this son?" The recruiter said as I turned in my application. I nodded. I was sure about this. This is what I wanted.
"The royal Canadian Navy is no joke, son. You have to be committed. You have to train hard and fight harder. Can you handle that?" I nodded hesitantly.
"I'm expecting a baby. My boyfriend is pregnant," I told him. He looked up at me and nodded.
"Congratulations, son," I smiled. "When is he expected to deliver?" He asked me.
"Next month. It's an early delivery due to complications," he stared at sadly.
"Oh well okay so here's how it works. You get sworn in. You follow our enhanced meeting and training schedule. You leave in 5 months. You stay at basic training 6 months and then you decide where you go from there. However you could be station anywhere so I might have to warn you. Most people get married to their significant other before they go off. Much more easier to keep a relationship when they've made promise to themselves and to god," I stared at him. He was talking about marrying him. Of course I wanted to. To be honest, I thought it was a great idea but I didn't know if Tristan was ready. I signed on the dotted line and he looked through the paper work.
"Is that all?" I asked as I took the papers he gave me. He nodded.
"See you later Soldier. Hoaaah!" I saluted him and he saluted back.
That was it. I signed my life away. The future was waiting for me and I was scared out of my mind.
Authors note: Do we like Lexi? I mean she just cares about Miles' future. Do we ship her and Zoë? #ZEXI or #LOË and OMG MILES! The army? Will Tristan support this? Well even if he doesn't take too late he signed the dotted line! Hahah! Excited to write the next chapter but should I continue?!❤️❤️❤️😂
