Shadow's pov
"Shadow I need to speak with you," Thunder said as he walked towards me. I was getting used to being in a pack and was napping next to the sisters. I got up and followed my brother as he began walking south. "Have you found anything out about Snow?" strain streaked his words, all of this business about our sister was taking it's toll on him. Personally I enjoyed not having her snap at me every second, but I was worried about her new found allies.
"Let's run first brother, we haven't ran together for a long time," I spoke softly running south again. We ran in silence, enjoying the peace. Thunder ran a little in front of me, still showing his status as alpha even though it was only me. After a time we both slowed to a walk, panting happily.
I knew I couldn't delay the news any longer, "our dear sister is apart of the pack to the west, they call 'the pack of the sun' or sun pack for short." I let him swallow this before I continued, "brother, I am afraid it gets worse." He stared at me with such a rage filled intensity I didn't want to tell him the last of it, but I had to or it would put our pack in terrible danger. "Snow I is the nee Luna of that pack, she and the alpha are mates." Thunder cursed a million curses and growled ferociously, attacking the closet tree. It had been felled and stripped of it bark when his rage subsided.
"Let us keep walking brother, I am curious why no packs occupy this area," I spoke swiftly, walking south again. He silently agreed as he walked with me. It was a strange thing the relationship he had with our sister, they were close, maybe only because my brother was the stronger, then when she challenged my brother and left for the sun pack, he was deeply hurt and sadness radiated of him. I hope that in time Talia will stop the hurt of his betrayal.
We neared the edge of the forest and strange smells hit my nose."May I?" I enquired looking at Thunder, who was equally as curious. He bored his head to me and lay down, watching comfortably. I edged slowly to the treeline. Strange objects stood thirty strides away, they smelt like.....wood? what Creature could make such an oddity? A bear was strong but lacked the intelligence. Wolves are smart, but we aren't capable of such creations because of our paws, as well as that we don't need such structures. I sniffed the air and smelt scents that made no sense.
Carefully I made my way to the smaller of the structures. Nothing seemed to stir. as I came around the side I could see many fat for legged animals trapped behind horizontal and vertical logs. I was so awed by this, going over to sniff the wood. The beats in the yard moved as far away from me as they could making loud mooing noises.
I was so interested in the animals I didn't hear the other creature creeping behind me, until it was to late. A strange thing feel over my neck and I was yanked back, being choked in the process. I regained my feet and charged at the two legged thing that held the other end of the vine.
I hesitated at the last moment before bringing it to the ground. It smelt like wolf, but it wasn't a wolf and there was a strange sensation that speed me from snapping it's throat. Instead I growled deeply in it's flat face. light amber eyes met hers evenly, but not challenging. I snarled before backing off the flat faced, two legged thing. it sat in a strange way then started to speak in it's own tongue. I growled again in response, then suddenly it's skin rippled all over and out made a grunting nose as it shifted form.
Now an ash black wolf stood before me. I stayed stock still starting at him. "I never knew I could shift like the other Narrian," he muttered to himself as he picked up the vine end again. I refused to move when he pulled at the vine. "What are you?" I said in horror. He was taken aback at my words, "you can speak?" He said ignoring my question.
"Answer my question!!" I growled at him, fury building up at the fact that he ignored what I said and that he thought I was incapable to speak. He backed away, the vine still in his mouth, "I am part Narrian, like you but my father was human," he said add best he could. "What is 'Narrian' and 'human'?" I snapped.
A sound came from the large structure and something began to speak in the other wolf's language. "I can explain an other time, but first let me take of the vine when I am in the other form and come back tomorrow at the same time, and please keep away from the cattle," he gestured towards the creatures in the log circle.
How could I trust this being? The other creature spoke again and the ash wolf shifted again, pulling on strange plant smelling skins to hide his unmentionables. He spoke back to the other creature and then trimmed back to me, beckoning me closer. I moved forward slowly, something deep within myself told me I could trust him with my life. Gently he removed the vine like thing from my neck.
Once I was free I ran into the forest as fast as I could, running past the waiting Thunder, not daring to looking back.

Ash's pov
I walked inside, ignoring my father as I moved past him. That she-wolf could talk, which I find a the strangest thing! There is a chance that she is a wild Narrian, which is exciting. that makes me wonder if she can change....and if she can I just shiftin front of her! Talk about embarrassing! I could feel the heat rushing into my cheeks, I am an idiot.
When I reached my room I closed the door and barred it with a cupboard, it would make sure no one could pinch any of my stuff while I slept. I collapsed on the straw bed and a thought occurred to me, she had almost killed me, but she hesitated and backed down instead. It was like something in her stopped her from doing so, strange.
Something was off in my own body, like I had found something I never knew I lost. I dismissed the thought and tried to sleep. I didn't have to wait long and I dreamed of chasing after a beautiful Narrian girl with ebony hair and green eyes, like what the she-wolf could look like if she could shift.
