Somehow I understood the cruel man's words when he threated Ash. This must be who the man Ash called Karen Elkin who was like an alpha to the humans, but they called him Arl instead of alpha and there were higher ranks than him. Something made me obey and it wasn't because of his high rank. I didn't want Ash to be harmed but I would've fought till my own death to accomplish that, not give in without a fight. Something very wrong was going on, the same thing that had made Ash kneel.

Arl Karen clapped a chain around my neck as soon I reached his side and slipped a piece of leather over my nose to muzzle me and tied it to the strip already around my neck. Once he was satisfied that I was secured he straighten and began to speak in his tongue to his guards and gestured towards Ash. Rage filled me and I could move and think straight again. I growled deeply as I lunged towards the closest guard trying to attack. the chain choked me as I jumped, but it didn't matter, I had to help Ash.

Karen stumbled and almost fell at the unexpected resistance, but caught himself at the last second. Suddenly a sharp pain erupted on my side from a club wielded by a guard. I tried to attack the guard but couldn't with the muzzle on. He swung the club again and it made contact with the side of my face. Time seemed to painfully slow down as I fell onto the hard packed dirty that made the street. I looked at Ash who was struggling to reach me before the world turned dark.

~~~~
I woke on cold stone and words of other languages that I didn't understand pounded through my head.  The muzzle was gone but I had more chains the connected me to the far wall that stopped me three strides from the door. I rose gingerly, my side burned and my head hurt worse at the movement. I was alone in a bare stone room and the only window was far up on a wall adjacent to the one with the door and gave little light.
There was a bowl of water in the middle of the room. I realised how thirsty I was, the last tome I drank was back at Ash's farm. At the thought of his name my heart sank and sorrow filled my, an emotion he had explained to me. I walked towards the bowl but the chains stopped me short and I growled on frustration, a new wave of pain came over me, caused by the small action.
I laid down, staring at the bowl. The voices in my head got louder and I tried to block them out, but they only got louder. "Don't resist. I need you to know those languages and your just making the process slower!" A voice hissed, echoing in the stone room. I looked up, snarling at who stood just out of my reach. Karen held a club in one hand and a dangerous glint shone his eye.
Whatever he had planned I would resist. The club swung down connecting with my shoulder. The force of the blow made me fall on my side. I quickly got to my feet and faced his again. He made a move to hit me, but stopped as I stepped backwards. My claws clicked on the stone as I stepped back again as he threateningly swung the club in front of me. He advanced again and hit me on the top of my shoulder, almost making me fall. I growled deeply as I regained my balance.
I felt my tail brush against the stone. Karen made another swing, towards my head this time. I ducked under the club and Karen was caught off balance from lack of resistance against the weapon.
My turn.
I leapt onto him, jaws ready to tear at flesh. He couldn't defend himself in time and fell backwards. I mauled his face, gripping it tightly with my fangs and pulled in every direction, relishing the feel of tearing flesh and his screams. No one hurt my friends, kin or pack! No one could control me, a wild wolf! I never knew how wrong those last words were. The screams turned to maddened laughs and Karen's skin began to repair.
I flew off him and back as far away as the chains would allow me. "Have you finished, wolf?" His spoke bitterly, "you will obey everything I tell you or there will be consequences. Attack me again and I will kill the part Narrian boy you so wish to protect!"
He strode over to when he was speaking and now stood in front of me. "Also I have the power to control you, all I need is one thought no matter how small and you will do exactly as I say," his last words where a whisper. I shrank back further. This was a dangerous man I couldn't fight alone. "You seem to understand me well, which shows a higher intelligence than the others. Maybe you will be more useful then I first thought." He muttered under his breath to himself. I shuttered, what others?
He turned and negation to walk out the door. He stopped next to the water and kicked it over before leaving. The door closed with a deafening boom. I covered my ears with my paws as best I could. I ran to the puddle of water and sniffed around before lapping the water. I had to find a way out of here!
'All I need is one thought and you will obey me' his words snaked into my mind. He had used my want to protect Ash against me. That meant he could read my mind, I would have to think as carefully as I act. I would obey him for now.
