Chapter Three
Deliah
Giggling irrupted from the group. "Come Dele, tell us who you are taking to the ball." I rolled my eyes and sighed. "I'll be going with my brother as I always do."
All the girls whined and groaned, "But why not let one of us take him this year? He is available and super hot."
I gagged, "Please keep your drooling over my brother to a minimum. We decided to go together because we don't really want to take anyone else."
Gail sighed sadly, " I guess that makes sense." The other girls nodded in agreement and started talking about who they were taking to the ball.
I smirked behind my hand, if only they knew he wasn't interested in any of them. Speak of the devil.
"Hey Dele, Dele! Over here." I groaned and stood up from the wooden table where I had sat for lunch. I gathered my things, said my goodbyes, and went over to meet my twin.
We did our handshake which consisted of a lot of hand slapping and other obnoxious noises. " What's up bro?"
"The sky." He tried to keep a straight face but ended up laughing, I just rolled my eyes and started walking out of the cafeteria towards my locker.
He jogged to keep up with my fast pace, " You know if you keep rolling your eyes like they are eventually going to roll out of your head."
I was tempted to roll my eyes again but settled on a slightly mean comment. "Don't you have class or something? By the way, how is that guy you were telling me about yesterday?"
I'm sure he was thankful for his dark skin tone or else his whole face would have been red. He looked around and sighed in relief when he noticed no one had overheard our conversation.
He glared at me and said, "Shut up twerp, no one can find out-"
"That you like guys? Fine, no problem, but I just don't see why you have to hide it." We got to my locker and I started on my combination. "It makes me sad that you think you have to hide from our pack, our family."
His hand slid down his face. "When people think of me, they see the straight future Gamma of the Summit pack. Since we have gotten here I have worked so hard to reach the Gamma Status. I can't ruin that just because of my preference for boys. And besides who has ever heard a gay werewolf?"
I opened my locker after my second attempt at the combo and took my books out. I turned to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Haven't you ever read those werewolf stories, there always a gay couple in there somewhere."
He smiled and rolled eyes.
I closed my locker and started walking towards my class. "Careful or else your eyes might roll out of your head."
He laughed. "Let's just get you to class shortie."
" 5'7 is not short. I can't help it that you're freakishly tall."
He laughed again, this time his dimples showing. I could practically hear all the girls and some boys sigh in bliss. Dritan put his arm around my shoulder. " I love it when we banter Dele, it makes my day."
I shrugged off his heavy arm. "Banter? What are you, a dictionary? But seriously Dritan, I love you for who you are, and if you feel the pack can't do that too we can leave."
He smiled while we were still walking forward, "I hear you sister thank you"
I nodded and smiled a small smile back, " Of course, anyways just make sure to be at the house in time, I don't want us to be late for the Alpha's birthday party."
We arrived at my classroom and I turned to face him. "Calm down sis I'll be there by seven." I smiled at my twin, "Sorry, I just don't want a repeat of last time." We both grimaced at the memory.
After an impromptu trip to Taco Bell before the Luna's birthday, we ended getting caught in traffic and came in during the speech made by the Alpha, the event has haunted us to this day. We were then known as the not so timely twins.
"I'll see you then." He waved to me then headed towards his class
I waved then walked to my seat waiting for the for the teacher to arrive.
Hopefully, this night would be a good one, but my gut feeling told me that something big was going to go down. And was not necessarily going to be all that good. I shook my head from those thoughts, I was going to have fun tonight.
Even if it killed me.
