Everyone's eyes fell on Natsu again. "She never said a word to me" Natsu said his eyes on the brink of releasing the wall of tears he has been fighting back.
"She didn't get the chance to Natsu, and Lisanna again Lucy never blamed you. She left the guild immediately after I convinced her to confess, and searched for you for hours, and when she finally found you, you were in the park. She took a minute and caught her breathe then walked up to you. But saw that you were talking to Lisanna, she didn't want to interrupt but before she could turn around and walk away She heard Lisanna confess that she thought she might still have feelings for you and watched you two kiss. She said she felt like her heart had completely broken, I didn't know at the time that she meant it literally. I encouraged her to still tell you but she insisted that she let your love blossom." Mira paused and looked at the now crying Lisanna.
"So I'm the one who killed Lucy." Lisanna sobbed "All on a maybe that ended up not being true." She looked at Bixlow
"I think it was all of us, we all saw Lucy everyday, but none of reached out to her. We all noticed that she was hurting but we turned our backs. I think Lucy's heart broke a little everyday, she was drowning in her tears, and we just let her." Mira looked up at the sobbing guild. Guilt filled their faces. Especially Natsu who was screaming out in anger, tears pouring from his face. Why didn't she just tell me. Natsu screamed to himself.
Natsu looked towards Levy with pleading eyes. "How do I fix this, how do I save Luce?"
"Well the spell that her spirits used is a strong one, and it required 2 things, a massive amount of Lucy's magic, and their complete undying love for her. Between what we know about that spell and what it says here, I believe that in order to fix the link between her magic and her heart someone with unwavering love can mix their magic with hers and force her heart back inside her. The only thing is, it will require all of that persons magic energy. In other words, whoever performs the spell will suffer magic deficiency and could possibly die." Levy looked up from the book that she was clutching tightly in her hands and looked at Natsu with sorrow.
"What is it?" Natsu asked.
"There's a warning. If the persons love is not truly unwavering she will be locked inside her body forever, furthermore if Lucy doesnt love that person the spell will not only lock Lucy inside her body, but it will kill the person performing the spell. Only blood relatives have ever been successful at breaking a spell like this." Levy looked up from the book again.
"Why would a blood relative be the only one to succeed?" Gray asked
"Because" replied Laxas looking in the Master's direction "You can hate your bloodline all you want, but deep down there's always a part of you that will always love it."
"Lucy doesn't have any blood relatives though, after her father died she's the last of her bloodline." Ezra commented. Her words stinging as the guild members think just how alone she was.
"That's right." Happy said "She came here looking for a new family."
"Some family we turned out to be." Gray mumbled.
"Levy , is there a way to test if someone is worthy of performing the spell?" Ezra questioned.
