A/N - Okay, so I know I said I would update at TEN views, but I just couldn't wait! So, drum-roll please... here is the next part!

|Connie's POV|

I stared at Steven's pink gem, tears forming at the corners of my eyes. I wiped them away, and held onto Steven's gem, holding it close to my heart and whispered fiercely at the gemstone, "You had better regenerate, Steven. Please, please regenerate, Steven..."

|30 Minutes Later...|

I was still laying there crying over Steven's gemstone when it started to glow. I wiped tears away from my face and sniffed hard. A form made of pale pink light was coming together, the gem being at the center.

I backed away from Steven, just to be safe. When he was done reforming, I stared at him. He was taller than me now, and more muscular now with a more teenage-like face than the 11 year old face I had always seen him in. His clothes were the same but now instead of a red shirt with a yellow star, he had a dark blue shirt and a yellow star.

I started crying again, this time with joy that he was back. I ran to him and tackled him, hugging the breath out of him. "T-thank g-g-goodness y-your b-ba-ck!" I sobbed into his neck.

I heard Steven's heart racing. He hugged me back and put her an arm's apart from him. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice had gotten deeper too.

"Yes! I was just worried about you." I whined.

Steven smiled up at me and reached up and wiped the remnants of a tear of my face. "I'm fine, Connie."

I pushed his hand away before saying to him, "I know, but you scared me!"

Steven sat up, and I tumbled off his chest and onto his lap, which he had folded. (Criss-cross-applesauce, you know what I mean.) He smiled down at her and put a finger under my chin, making me blush wildly. "Who says you didn't scare me with that kiss a few minutes ago?"

My face became an oven. I stuttered, "I-I..."

Steven laughed, letting go of my chin. "If you want to forget it ever happened, that's okay." he murmured to me.

|Steven's POV|

This new form felt a little odd to me, but that didn't matter right now, what did was Connie, right now she was the center of my universe. She stared at me, her eyes sparkling. I smiled at her, trying to be understanding, but inside I was hoping she would say she would never forget it.

Connie stuttered for a few moments before falling silent and fidgeting with her fingers. I pulled her to my chest and wrapped my arms around her torso, before sighing contentedly. Connie had stiffened at first, but she slowly started to relax, still in shock a bit, and lean into my chest.

And we stayed like that for a few minutes, watching the ocean waves and thinking about each other. I was caught off guard when Connie spun around and pinned me to the ground. Her face was shaded, so I couldn't see her expression. My eyes widened and my mouth gaped open in surprise as she pressed against my arms, holding me down.

"Your so dumb, sometimes, Steven Universe." Connie said, playfully. "I'd rather not forget it, if it's all the same to you!"

I lay there, still pinned, still having no idea what was going on.

|Connie's POV|

I smiled down at the puzzled Steven, my heart racing. I pulled his face closer to mine by the collar and kissed him. I heard him make a noise of surprise before both our eyes closed and we kissed passionately.

I didn't notice, but I had loosened my grip on Steven's arms and he flipped us, not skipping a beat. He kissed me deeper and a darkly tinted pink bubble went up around us, hiding us from onlookers. I smiled on the inside and we broke apart for air for a minute, both of us panting for breath. We grinned at each other.

Steven lunged at me and I couldn't run from him in a bubble, so he just pinned me against the wall of the bubble. His hand cupped my face gently and his other hand held me so that our eye levels were closer together, as he was now taller than me. I brought my hand to his hair and pulled his head towards mine.

|Steven's POV|

I kissed her deeply and moved so that she was pinned with my body, gently, against the wall of the bubble. I broke the kiss for a moment to wipe some hair out of Connie's face and to smile at her, my eyes sparkling and my body temperature higher than normal. Connie pushed me back when I tried to go in again.

She smiled up at me. "Hold it there, tiger. (Reference to Tiger Millionaire) We need to get going back."

I frowned in disappointment, I had been enjoying the session with Connie. I sighed. "Okay." I wiped sweat off my face and put the bubble down.

I sagged when I saw the Crystal Gems standing outside the bubble. Connie's face went blank. The gems stared at us. (I am including Lapis and Peridot as gems, by the way.)

Garnet took in our slightly haggard appearances and gave me a sly smile and a wink. She also took in my new form and gave me a thumbs up.

Amethyst noticed my new form and smirked. Then she noticed that we looked haggard and worn out, our faces red and we were holding hands. She started laughing so hard that she started snorting and she couldn't stop.

Pearl covered her mouth with a gasp and her eyes widened. She just stared... taking in my new form.

Peridot and Lapis looked confused. Amethyst grinned and started to explain to them in a whisper.

I face palmed and said to them. "What are you doing here?"

Garnet replied in her deep, monotonous voice, "Looking for you. It's around 8:00 PM."

Connie immediately paled. "Oh god, I was supposed to be home thirty minutes ago!"

I looked around. :T "Well," I said. "At this point we're closer to the temple than we are to your house. It's getting dark. We can go to the temple and call your mom and see if you can sleep over."

"I'll just call her on my cell." Connie pulled out her flip-phone and dialed her Mom's number.

She waited a moment. "Hey, mom... Yes, I know I should have been home a while ago, I just lost track of time... But it's getting dark. Steven offered me to sleep over... Really!?... Yay, thank you, mom!" She hung up and beamed at me. "She said I could stay for the weekend!"

Steven smiled at her and Amethyst chuckled again. We started to walk back, Connie and I at the back, holding hands and getting lost in the depths of each other's eyes, completely, and totally in love.
