(I listen to the music above when I am writing, enjoy while you read!)

A/N - If you guessed Bismuth, you were correct! Steven will release Bismuth in this chapter, but will Bismuth be good, or will Bismuth still believe in shattering gems? Let's find out! (Wattpad deleted this whole entire chapter before I saved it so it took me more time to get this one done. D:)

|Connie's POV|

I walked slightly behind Steven and the rest of the gems as we made our way back to the temple. I could tell something was bothering Steven, as his fists were clenching and relaxing. I watched him, hoping he was okay. Lapis, Peridot, and I glanced at each other before picking up the pace to walk beside Steven.

|Steven's POV|

When we got to the Temple, I assigned Lapis and Peridot rooms. I gave Lapis the Living Room, and I fixed up a space near the kitchenette for Peridot. While they went to sleep, Connie in my bed already asleep, I paced near the warp pad.

I looked at my team and clenched my fists. I sighed quietly and went to the door that held the rooms of Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst, and my room. I pressed my palm against the door and willed Garnet's to open, and since I was the leader of the new crystal gems, it did. I looked back before slipping inside.

I looked at the hot room, I saw many bubbled gems here. I wondered at the sight of the many sparkling stones before tearing my gaze away. I was looking for three gems in peculiar. I searched for about fifteen minutes before I found Bismuth's bubble. I took a deep breath before floating up and grabbing it.

I dropped back down to earth and stared at the gemstone inside. I felt very conflicted, but I knew we had no chance without Bismuth. I sighed and popped the bubble. Immediately, the rainbow gem inside started to glow and a minute later, Bismuth appeared in all her glory.

I stared at her. She stared at me. In a flash our last meeting was flowing back to us...

"Why did you release me?" Bismuth said, her voice gravelly.

Steven looked up at her, his eyes sad. "Garnet, Pearl and Amethyst have been captured by Homeworld. We need your help. I've assembled a team of turned Homeworld gems and one human. I plan to release and heal two more gems. Can you help us? Will you help us?"

Bismuth's eyes widened and she looked around wildly before settling her gaze back on me. "You're serious?" she asked in little more than a whisper.

I nodded, choked up. We stood together in silent companionship for a moment, both missing what we had lost. "This is your chance to redeem yourself." I told her. "I will never doubt you again if you help us this time."

Bismuth looked down at me. "Of course I'll help."

I sighed, relief flowing through me. "I'll go get those two gems now. Stay here."

Bismuth nodded and silently absorbed everything I had told her. I floated up, looking for two gems. I found orange quartz gem and the green poke-ball-looking gem, (I'm sorry for that, I don't know what to call it and it looks like a poke-ball to me lol), I took them in my hands and floated back down again.

Bismuth looked at the gems in my hand. "Who are they?"

"This." I held up Jasper's gem. "Is Jasper. She's corrupted but I believe I can heal her now. And this." I held up Centipeedle's gem. "Is Centipeedle. She was corrupted long ago, and I healed her half-way before we bubbled her again. I'm going to try to heal them. Be prepared to attack Jasper if I can't."

Bismuth nodded and I popped Jasper's bubble. The gemstone started to glow before the form of Jasper came out of it. I immediately started spitting on her. and rubbing it everywhere, hoping corruption wouldn't spread by touch.

Jasper, more monster now, gasped and tried to slash at me, but Bismuth jumped at it and restrained Jasper. I watched, desperate and hoping for her to heal. After five minutes I noticed that the places on Jasper's skin that were corrupted were starting to fade, and quickly.

I shouted in joy and released Centipeedle. I did the same to her and she healed even quicker. Her gem was again placed at one of her eyes and her clothes had stars at the elbows.

Jasper, on the other hand, had not changed a bit, she was just weak and confused. She struggled weakly under Bismuth's firm hands. "Let me go!" she growled.

I stood over her, looking at her pitifully. "I'm going to give you one chance." I said gently. "I can see that there is some good in you. I don't know if it is from being fused with Lapis for so long, or if you actually have good naturally inside of you, but the point is it's there. We need you right now, Jasper. Join the Crystal Gems."

Jasper stared up at me, then at Centipeedle, who was standing in a daze behind me. "B-but my diamond..."

I clenched my fists. "Rose shattered your true diamond, Pink Diamond. You can make up for the fact you couldn't protect Pink Diamond by joining us." I knew this made no sense but I had to try.

Jasper froze and stared at me, a small tear forming in her eye. "Okay, I'll join you. I'll speak to Garnet about it though, she's the leader right?"

I looked down at her, my sadness welling up again. "Garnet, Pearl, and Amethyst were captured by Homeworld. Lapis, Peridot, Bismuth, Centipeedle, Connie, You, and I are the last free Crystal Gems on Earth."

Centipeedle spoke up behind me in a quiet voice that was as smooth as honey. I turned and took a better look at her. She looked around my age, I don't know why she picked to look like that, but she did. I shrugged. She had white and black hair and dark green skin.

"My name is Jade." Centipeedle said quietly. "Can you all tell me what's going on?"

I stared at Jade, floored. Omigosh, she's pretty. I thought before derailing that train of thought and throwing it's tracks out of my head. "Oh." was all I could muster. I cleared my thoughts and told her who I was and what had happened over the last couple hundred years.

Jade stared at me, looking heartbroken. I placed a comforting hand on her shoulder for a moment before taking Bismuth, Jasper and Jade out of Garnet's room and into the temple.

A/N - Yes! I finally got it done! How was it? Were you expecting Jasper and Centi to be healed? How do you think the others will react? Let's see in the next chapter!
