A/N - I am so sorry for the lack of updates! School is keeping me busy, as always, and the holidays are coming soon and I won't have any time to update! So I'm going to give you guys a special chapter! From Amethyst's Point of View! Enjoy, you clods! (jk)

|Amethyst's POV|

I leaned against the back of my cell, sighing. It's so boring here, I thought. I walked to the front of my cell and looked at the guard that was on the other side of the yellow destabilizer barrier. "I'm bored." I complained.

The guard, he was a green Fluorite and unusually small with black hair, turned his head at me. "Be quiet," he barked.

I looked at him for a moment. He was small for a Fluorite soldier, and he had black hair, which was uncommon. And he had the body of a male, unlike most gems, which chose the body of a female.

I stuck my tongue out at him and sat in the corner of my cell, wondering how Steven was managing back home. I sighed again. I hope my message got to him. I thought. I leaned my head back and stared at the ceiling.

I hope Pearl is okay. And Sapphire, and Ruby. I wonder where they are... I can't do anything without them yet. We have no chance of escape at this point. My mind tried to formulate a plan that didn't involve the other Crystal Gem's help, but I couldn't think of one.

I looked at the guard again, there was something... off... about him.

"Fluorite 1, Fluorite 2, the General wants to see you." said a gruff voice, which owner I could not pinpoint.

The other two guards left and I was left alone with the runt Fluorite. "I can see you're smaller than them. Sucks, doesn't it?" I said, letting hair fall into my face.

"Yes, it does." came the short reply.

"Well, I know the feeling." I grunted, pushing myself up. "I'm half the size of most gems. You are too. I'm Amethyst."

"Fluorite." grunted my guard, I could tell he was trying to stay strict, but he was dropping his guard a but.

I smiled, he replied! (Lol notice me senpai) "Nice to meet you. I would shake your hand, but this barrier is getting in the way. Mind lowering it?"

The guard turned to me, a spark of amusement in his eyes. "Uh, no. And why would you want to shake my hand?"

I sighed, smirking, glad I got to tease someone instead of being bored out of my mind. "I suppose since you're my captor, I must answer your question." I sighed dramatically. "It's a polite earth custom to shake someone's hand when you meet them."

Fluorite raised his brow at me. "Okay, that's odd, to say the least."

I snorted. "Oh, please, we're odd, to say the least."

Fluorite's nose wiggled, he was suppressing laughter (Same thing happens to me, lol). "I suppose so." He suddenly became serious. "I can't talk to you like this again, you know?"

I smirked, but my stomach twinged at the thought of being so lonely again. I needed company to survive the boredom. "Of course, why would you, a guard, want to speak to a prisoner like myself?"

Fluorite glared at me. "Seeing as this is the only time we'll be able to speak, tell me why you're here."

My mouth dropped open and I stared at him. Whoa! No wonder he's been so friendly, he doesn't know who I am! "I'm a Crystal Gem." I told him calmly.

Fluorite jumped away from my cell, his mouth slightly open. "Great Diamonds, the Crystal Gems are real?!"

I stared at him. "Yes, you idiot!"

He became starry eyed and he stared at me. I looked at him quizzically. "TELL ME WHAT IT WAS LIKE BEING A CRYSTAL GEM!!!" He said loudly.

I stared at him. "Are you the only not brainwashed gem on this ship?"

 "What do you mean?"

"Everyone here, they are completely and totally loyal to the diamonds, so much that they don't even think for themselves, they're all the same." I looked at him. "But you're not. What happened to you to get you out of the Diamond's trance?"

Fluorite opened his mouth to speak, but the two other Fluorite's came back into the room. Fluorite went back to where he was standing before and took on an icy demeanor again, not even glancing at me.

I felt a little salty about it (lol) after we'd been friends for a little bit, but I told myself he was just another homeworld gem. There was nothing special about him.

For some reason I couldn't convince myself that that was true.

A/N - Okay, so how was it? Do you like the new character? I just made him, he's not my OC, he's my brother's so that's why he's in this story. Hey, maybe if you submit your OC in the comments below, he/she might be in the book! Tell me what you think in the comments!
