"We keep this love in a photograph. We make these memories for ourselves. Where our eyes are never closing, hearts were never broken, time's forever frozen still..."

I groaned, there was no sunlight poking through the blinds. I went to snuggle back into Ethan's arms, but he wasn't there. I shot up with worry until I heard the shower going. I sighed and lay back down. I fell asleep, but only for a few minutes.

Ethan came into the room and wrapped me in a wet hug. I struggled to be released, but it was to no avail.

"Ethan, let me go!" I giggled. He rubbed his stubbly cheek against my soft one, getting my face wet. After a little bit of wriggling, I was set free. Thank the lord. I lazily rolled out of bed, feeling cold.

"Mornin' Sunshine," Ethan said sweetly.

"You're a dick," was my immediate response. He chuckled at me as tried to wipe off the excess water.

"I love you too, Sweetheart."

"Die in a fire." I gave him the cold shoulder as a grabbed my clothes.

"Speaking of the baby," completely off topic, "when's your trip to the doctor?" I gave him a sideways glance.

"This weekend. You coming?"

"Of course, why wouldn't I?" I glanced at him, shifting in my uncomfortable wet clothes.

"You have a meeting the night before. I thought you wouldn't want to come so early in the morning." I stood up from our bed and shuffled to the closet. It's about 4:30 in the morning and we had to get ready for work.

"You know I wouldn't miss this for the world. I'd literally stock myself on Red Bull if I had to," Ethan said, already having his dress pants on.

"Okay, it's at nine, on Saturday morning. You have 'til Friday to mull over this decision. It's Tuesday now, so you got four days." I started to slip on my work outfit as I spoke to him. I was wearing a simple sky blue dress with long sleeves and a skirt that went to about my knees. I then slipped on some nude heels and walked to my vanity.

"I'm not going to change my mind." Ethan was tying a sky blue tie around his neck, matching me.

"Okay," I said, doing my hair and make-up. I just did a simple light blue eye-shadow and brown eyeliner. And a little pink on the lips never did any harm. I decided to leave my hair out and slightly messy with its natural ringlets.

Ethan and I decided to go out for a quick breakfast before heading to the office.

Once that was done and we were full, to the office it was. I was coming upon the end to my first trimester and the morning sickness was becoming less common. The office was quiet, considering we still got there fairly early.

Absent mindedly, I played with the engagement ring on my finger. It's single diamond sparkled in the light. Ethan apparently noticed and held my opposite hand, squeezing it lightly with a warm smile on his face.

I felt extremely happy because of him. He helped me out of this little hole of loneliness I didn't even know I was in. My life got better because of him.

"You okay?" Ethan gave me a slightly confused and a little amused look. I shook my head to clear my thoughts and smiled at him.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I placed my left hand on my stomach and drifted into another state of thought.

"How long until you start to get a baby belly?" Ethan placed his right hand on top of mine.

"Not too long, I don't think. I'm almost at the end of my first trimester, so we're also gonna get the gender soon as well."
