The box was a music box and it started to play a lullaby. Lea immediately closed it after hearing the first note of the song, she turned around to see if anyone heard it.
Jemma heard it which gave her goosebumps. However she still continued the conversation with her. It's surprising that Robin herself didn't hear it. She just continued talking until she wheeled her way to where Lea was.
"Hey, where you goin'?"
"To get a cup. Talking just makes me thirsty."
"It can wait."
"What? No! I need to keep myself hydrated."
She wheeled faster in the room and was about to switch on the lights. Lea didn't know where to go since she's cornered. Jemma knew that so she was forced to do what's best. She grabbed her by the collar of her shirt and kissed her. Robin's eyes widened as her lips touched hers. She wanted this to stop, she didn't want this but her body refuses to cooperate. Lea quickly slipped away, sadly missing the good things. Robin's body cooperated so her hands can push her away but her push was too powerful that made Jemma fall down.
"DON'T PLAY WITH MY FEELINGS. YOU CAN'T JUST KISS ME AFTER YOU KNOW THAT I LIKE YOU."
Robin scolded at her. Jemma looking up with eyes of regret, Robin's eyes were filled with rage and depression.
"R-Rob... I can-"
Please Robin, just let me explain... Don't do this...
"I GET IT! YOU DON'T LIKE ME. I KNOW THAT ALREADY. WHY MUST YOU MAKE ME HOPE?!"
Robin wanted to cry because it hurts. It REALLY hurts.
"I HATE YOU, GET OUT FROM THIS HOUSE. GET. OUT!"
She stared at her with pure hatred and anger as she pointed at the door.
Jemma felt like her tongue got cut out, she felt like her soul was ripped off her body, she felt like... she has no purpose in living anymore. She stood up, pointed at her saying,
"From tomorrow onwards,"
I'm sorry...
"You're my enemy" Jemma said.
Robin stayed stiff and stared at her dead eyes. She then stealthily left in a blink of an eye. Robin just realized what happened and tears started to form. She kept staring at the same place while hot tears flowed down her cheeks. Then she felt an area of her chest aching. The next thing she realized, she was holding at her chest, bawling.
Jemma swore she heard bawling but then she decided to ignore it once she realized it was her.
"Dude! You just KISSED her! What did I miss?" Lea nudged her arm. Jemma sighed and didn't bother to answer.
"Something happened for the past 13 days, right?" Lea said softly but enough for Jemma to hear but she didn't answer.
"I knew it." Lea said slightly proudly. "You had-"
"Shut up." She covered her mouth and quickly hid behind a fence with tall bushes. They saw a car passed by and stopped near Robin's house. Then a man went out of the car, up to the porch and knocked on Robin's door. Jemma was tempted to stay and eavesdrop on their conversation but at the same time, she didn't want to go near that house and see her. Lea nudged her to snap out of her thoughts and gestured her to leave. Jemma nodded slightly and Lea left quickly. Jemma looked back at the house before she was pulled by the sleeve by Lea.
Robin opened the door and saw Leon. She tilted her head, "Why are you here so late?"
"Is your leg functioning well?"
"Well... yes...?"
"Great because we need you in the headquarters now."
"What happened?"
"We finally found a way to capture Steele and Hawkes."
