In just a few seconds, Robin was in Leon's car on their way to the headquarters. At the same time, Robin was looking out from the window just wishing she could turn back time and just take back what she said.
I shouldn't have fell in love with her... She balled up her fists tight enough to for Leon to notice it. Once they stopped at a red light, he put a hand on hers which made her turn to his direction.
"Are you alright?" Leon asked. Robin nodded and took her hand back. "I'm alright, thanks for your concern..." Leon immediately took her hand,"As your friend, you have to tell me. You just recovered completely and I won't allow my comrades to feel blue." Robin tried not to forcefully grab her hand back because the last time someone refused to tell him something, he's still in the hospital 3 years till now.
"I'm sorry, I was just... I just felt a bit miserable after you remind me of Steele. She was the reason I wasn't able to work... "
That was a lie. An extreme obvious lie.
Leon nodded and squeezed her hand slightly. "Don't worry. I'm sure we will get her." He smiled a bit so Robin smiled back slightly. The light went green and he went back driving. She internally sighed and looked back at the window once more. A few minutes later, they've arrived and ran to the elevator where their office was. Once the door opened, there were police running about. Robin was slightly surprised because she rarely see any of these events happening, she followed him to a room where officials of higher rank held their meetings. He opened the door and was greeted with men, arguing more than talking. Arguing about which strategy fit best the situation. However they lowered down their voices when they saw Leon and Robin. They stood up to salute each other and then sat back down.
"How's your leg, Woods?" "I'm alright, thank you for your concern." "Glad to have you back in the field." Robin just smiled and nodded a bit.
"Anyway, you all should know why I called you here." "Yes you said that you've found a lead?" "Yes... Sir. My comrades and I know where they're heading." Then he tapped on the trackpad on the laptop which showed the map and it enlarged to where they're heading. Robin felt a bit uncomfortable which made her leg a bit wiggly.
"Here, they're heading here." He pointed at the place. Then murmurs started but then again lowered when the chief raised his hand. "Do tell how you found out the location?" "My IT experts have dug through some info about Steele and Hawkes, it is said that they're paid to work together to get the blueprints of the secret weapon that they stole more than 2 weeks ago." He kept talking so the chief then glanced at Robin who was staring at the location.
"Woods."
"Yes?" She immediately turned her eyes to the chief. He showed those eyes which made Robin remember that scene with Jemma. She lowered her head and shook slightly. He sighed and turned his eyes to Leon.
"Apparently, they stole the blueprints so they can sell them to rich businessmen, according to the phone call. Now that we have pinpointed their location. We have only a few minutes before they meet."
"What's the plan?"
"We added more members for team Alpha and Beta and more snipers in the building. More backup will be there in all possible exits. We only have 15 minutes to reach there."
When he finished talking, men started to move and leaders started barking out orders. Leon and the chief talked a bit, Leon nodded and earned a pat on the shoulder by the chief. Leon went to Robin and handed her a file. Robin started reading and immediately she started doubting what she just read. Leon pat her shoulder and handed her a gun. She looked up with wide eyes.
"Knock them dead."
Leon went out and leaders started reporting to him leaving Robin with the gun on her hand. She gripped and took a deep breath, looking down at the now healed leg, she gathered enough guts and went out.
"This is the place."
Lea muttered as she turned off her phone, smashed it and looked at Jemma. Jemma looked at the building and looked at Lea. They looked at the building and walked in the building together.
Robin kept staring at the gun which Leon expected to use to kill them, most likely the gun to kill Jemma. Leon noticed and held her hand where she held the gun.
"If you're nervous about missing. Don't worry, that time was probably wasn't your day."
She nodded and looked up when they halted to a stop. The snipers went out first and then the Alpha team, finally them. Robin's heart beat went wild as they ran up the stairs and eventually that feeling slipped away. She turned into the girl who has the thirst for justice. The Alpha team got into their positions and two started attempting to knock the door down.
